Here are the things I liked: They have air purification units in the rooms for covid. the wifi is great the price the security Michelle at the front desk was amazing. Helpful, personable and really sweet. The señora who cleaned the rooms was also very sweet. However, she didn't change the sheets the entire length of my stay and I had to ask for new towels because she would take the old ones from my room and then just... not replace them. I started the week with two regular towels, a hand towel and a wash cloth and by day 4 I was down to one clean towel. She had no problem giving me a new one when I asked, but I'm not sure why she didn't replace them to begin with.
Here are a few things I wish I'd known before booking my reservation that might’ve changed my mind: the towel thing. It also didn't seem like the floors were swept much either. there were a bunch of tiny insects (smaller than ants, no idea what they were) around the bathroom sink. I couldn't bring food back to my room because they'd be all over it if I did (there was my refrigerator to put any food I had in anyway. also no microwave).
There was a sign in the room saying to turn off the ceiling fan when you leave the room, which is fine and understandable, but it means your room is a sauna for the first few minutes after you come in. Speaking of which; there is no ac. The ceiling fan did a good job of keeping my room cool for all but one night but... something to consider.
the door to the room was very light and the locks were... not great. I didn't really have any safety concerns (the rooms require a key as does the inn itself) but it bangs pretty loudly at night. I fixed this by placing a chair in front of the door.
You can't flush toilet paper down the toilet. It must be placed in the trash can.
The inn is in a residential area, and as such, if the neighborhood is having a party, you will hear it. Sometimes until 1 or 2 in the morning. This only happened one night during my stay, but fyi.
It's not too far from the marina, about a 15 minute walk, but it is slightly inconvenient if that's where you're headed.
All in all, you get what you get for the price. I didn't have any safety concerns while staying here, but personally I probably...
Read moreWe stayed here for 1 night before checking into a condo.||I really wanted to rate this property higher, but the beds were||hard, and there was somebody's old soap leftover in the ||shower. -Not horrible||We liked the in-town location. Read moreThis place is a gem, there is no doubt. Walking distance to Cabo is 5 minutes.
Maita, who is the owner, was so sweet and helpful, she made our stay even better, what a lovely person. I'm so glad we had the privilege to meet and converse with Maita'!
We were looking for a place that was clean and cheap as we were having dental work done in Cabo and had scheduled outings to keep us busy throughout our stay. But it was nice to come back to a clean well manicured location. Of course the price is unbeatable for what you are getting. The room was very clean. Loved the cultural Mexican style incorporated into the room decor. It's a small hotel, which I love. Maybe 12 rooms in all. We stayed at a resort in Cabo but enjoyed this hotel much better. We highly recommend Norman Diego's The Mexican Inn! I hope they are in business for a...
