We are group of 9 occupying 5 rooms both before and after Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu. Our overall experience has been excellent and here are few points which stood out. 1.Rooms (some) may seem small but very well maintained and decorated. Rooms are fitted with comfortable beds and well-sized and equipped bath. Hot water will be an issue if several folks all take bath at same time but otherwise it is a pleasure to shower. Breakfast is simply awesome and is the main highlight. Multiple fruit options, egg dishes, fresh juices made on request, eager staff to help you make it simply the best start of your day for sure. It is small place so you need to time your slot with reception if you are a big group (which they will help). Cusco center is a short walk away and makes it safe and easy to move around, we were out till 1am on first night and without any issues. Front door is locked post 10pm but there is someone to buzz open it 24/7. Airport drop/pickup, organizing local tours is taking care by friendly reception staff and prices also seem very reasonable.
A big thank you the hotel staff for making our stay so memorable. All in all, highly recommended and I will definitely return back to this hotel when I am in...
Read moreHad an impression that the owner of this place just decided to build hotel without caring of clients at all- absolutely zero fresh air in rooms (except one room which has a balcony outside). The rest of rooms have internal windows, no air flowing there, even no air conditioners in rooms or hall, I literally felt like african slave in a cell. Location - watch out, at first sight its great, but there is a very loud disco close, so every weekend there r parties all night long in this area, till 5 a.m. not possible to sleep, all the hotels in this area suffering this situation. Restaurant was good, tasty breakfast, the only thing - waitress told us only last morning that actually they could cook for us pancakes or smth else, like the whole week she was attending us (was no other ppl inside or max one more table busy) and she said: “ I dont know if somebody told u, we actually can cook for u pancakes”. If u r the only waitress and attend us everyday so u r the one who should inform us and preferably not at the last day when we r in a hurry and about to check out.. In general- just because of no air inside I cannot recommend this hotel, fresh air is essential thing to stay...
Read moreWe absolutely loved the staff and the charm at Cooper Hotel. ||||They're accommodating, kind, clean, and friendly. Great walkable location as well. ||They have a nice little tea bar and fresh water in the lobby 24 hours a day for visitors - good for those hiking or acclimating to the altitude. They have free breakfast which includes fresh pancakes, waffles and omelettes. Cooper also stored our luggage during out trek and had an airport pickup service for 10 per person which we utilized when arriving into Cusco. ||||ONLY negative i have to say is that there is a restaurant/club underneath this hotel/nearby that plays music until 3am! The first two nights we stayed at this hotel, we were on the second floor and heard thumping from music/bass until 3am. After our trek, we came back and they put us on the 3rd floor after requesting a quieter room and it was much better. They said they have filed complaints against the place but its currently out of their hands. ||||So only tip would be to ask for a quiet room if you prefer to sleep at night. :) ||Otherwise -...
