This is one of the first micro breweries in Cusco (still only 8 years old which is so young by US standards). The beer culture in Cusco seems to be really taking off. This particular brewery has a great thing going. Their beer is good. Not quite up to US standards in my opinion. No at all bad. Its just I'm used to a wider variety of beers on offer and more unique offerings for each type. However, this is not to say the beer here is not excellent and the bar tenders are very knowledgable and enjoyable to talk to. Surprisingly (and much unlike US breweries) they make a wide range of amazing cocktails. Mostly local drinks but possibly better than any other bar we went to in Cusco over a week's time. The food was also quite good and different than a lot of the other food available in Cusco. I got a steak chili which was properly spice and mostly meat as I like it. They have live music starting around 8:30 pm on some (most?) nights. My only suggestion is that happy hour is unreasonably short. Most places do at least a two hour happy hour. We noted that almost the entire restaurant cleared out when it ended which makes me think they could have increased business significantly by going another hour. All round we loved this spot and will go...
Read moreIn response to owner; Yes there were a few problems. Although everybody was very attentive to take our order, we started to wait a long time for our order. We called our server over and they said they were backed up, however when we asked about our cider, she seemed surprised. It was about a 50 minute wait before we received our cider. Then we waited over an hour for our food. I could understand if they were actually busy, but there were only a about 8 other customers and quite a bit of staff. Even as we left, none of them ordered food, just drinks, we brought that up and it seemed the server changed the excuse to a ticketing problem. I also do not mind waiting for good food, but our food was bad. I ordered a taco, it was dry and lacked any flavor.
Also, in the month of July my girlfriend was supposed to have a 20% discount here because of her cuenta sueldo BBVA. We were there in early July and mentioned it inthe beginning, however they did not respect the discount. I guess overall we are upset that we spent the only spare couple of hours after work that day waiting, and for us it was a lot of money...
Read moreDamn, this place is ridiculously good. The food? Unreal. The beers? Dangerously drinkable. The humans working here? Suspiciously delightful. Like, how is everyone this nice and this cool? Is it something in the IPA? An absolute hidden gem in Cusco — the kind of place that instantly becomes your go-to, even if you only just discovered it five minutes ago. Do not leave without: Admiring the chandeliers (yes, plural — they deserve their own Tripadvisor entry). Playing the "how many plants are in here?" game. I lost count around 38. Pretty sure there's a dedicated plant whisperer on staff. If not, there should be. And the lighting? Stop it. Warm, flattering, mood-setting perfection. I could write a whole separate review titled: “An Ode to the Lightbulbs.” In short: I would happily have a drink spilled on me here, smile about it, and skip out the door like it was all...
