This place is not expensive, but also not worth the money. The first night we booked the more expensive room type, which was right above the reception, only separated by a thin piece of wood. We could hear everything and the tv was on till late, even after we asked for more silence. We ended up sleaping with ear plugs and moved to another room for the next night. The price was lower and the room was very small, but at least it was quiet now. Towels and toilet paper are only given on request, the showers are not so good and the bathrooms are hardly clean. Wifi is only available in and near the reception. Only the owner speaks English, but we only met him once and very briefly. We didn't have a chance to enjoy breakfast as we left early after both nights for a flight and a tour. Unfortunately no take away alternative was offered. They took good care of our luggage while we were away for a night to Machu Picchu though, but I wouldn't go...

Walls are paper thin - on our last night we had the pleasure of listening to a bunch of congenitally inconsiderate South American travellers pacing up and down the stairs chatterboxing until the wee hours outside our room. Location is not terrible - a short uphill hike from the Centro Historico - but you can find closer places easily. Manager/owner seems completely divested of interested in his own asset. We took a gamble on this place and lost our marbles. Stick with places that have a decent amount of...
