If you enjoy staying up all night and not getting any rest, this is the place for you. ||||From 10pm to now, 3:30am, there is a gushing water noise that makes it impossible to sleep. The guy on duty at the front desk, who speaks no English, called the owner or someone and handed the phone to me. I was told there are ranks on the roof that are filling and there is nothing they can do to stop the noise. ||||I'm writing this review sitting wide awake at 3:30am. I was suppose to go to Mattchu Pitchu today, but with ZERO sleep we decided against it. Our entire trip is ruined and $240 for train tickets down the drain and $84 for Mattchu Pitchu tickets down the drain. ||||Location is great. Read moreWe stumbled on this place after our initial lodging fell through. It was a little pricier than other hostels, but we were ultimately glad to stay here. The rooms are clean and cozy, the location is super close to Plaza de Armas. The wifi can be sketchy and I don't recall whether the shower was always hot, but the couple who runs it are so lovely! They helped us plan our adventures to Machu Picchu and Lake Titticaca. They kept our bags while we were out for a couple of days. The laundry service when we came back was wonderful! When she fetched me and our luggage and we arrived at the hotel they said a mistake had been made and we would be in a much smaller room for the same price. My daughter had a dinner that made her vomit and she used a towel for this on her way to toilet. The hotel demanded US $25 for this small towel. The breakfast was dry bread and questionable meat.
