We stumbled on this place in a courtyard near our hotel on our last day in Cusco, and it was phenomenal! We got the alpaca curry, the alpaca carpaccio, and the alpaca burger. They were all excellent - perfectly cooked and with lots of flavor. I like that they had traditional Peruvian dishes/ingredients with a unique spin. The chef has a farm nearby where some of the produce is from. The homemade mango and basil sodas we ordered were also excellent and not too sweet. We sat outside in a lovely patio with a fountain - a peaceful atmosphere where the music was not too loud and conversation was easy even for my grandpa. Also very reasonably priced - one of the best meals we had in Cusco. Definitely recommend!!

The place is a revelation for all senses. On top, it is located in a historical location, which has been a school for producing high ranking officials in the old days. Amazing service by Miguel who has taken great care of us and has provided lots of interesting information both about the food and drinks as well as about the history of the building and the restaurant. ❤️ Food was exquisite and greatly presented, a feast for the eyes, the pallate and the nose! Everyone was gentle and welcoming. The surprise at the end was the local tea treat and the small gift together with tips on how to best adapt to the high altitude of the region. Certainly worth visiting when in Cuzco, at least once!

It is such a beautiful and wonderful place to eat. The food was magnificent, it was tasty, well prepared, and served in excellent portions. We tried the alpaca burger and the pork pancetta, and they were both fantastic. The service was great, the waiter was so gentle and friendly and all the staff treated us very well, we felt so welcomed. At the end we received a warm tea and a small alfajor as closure, it was the cherry on the top. Also the atmosphere was charming and relaxing. Overall, we had such a good time having dinner at Hapya.

I had an absolutely incredible dining experience at HAPYA. From start to finish, everything was perfect.

I ordered the Quinoa Soup, which was flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Alongside it, I enjoyed a Pisco Sour that was perfectly balanced—smooth, refreshing, and authentic. To make the evening even more special, they surprised me with a complimentary dessert and tea, a thoughtful gesture that left me impressed.

The food was nothing short of amazing, but the experience was elevated even further by the atmosphere—warm, inviting, and full of energy. The service was exceptional. My waiter, Miguel, was fantastic: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly.

HAPYA truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The food, the drinks, the service, the atmosphere—everything was perfect. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be...
