I really wanted to like this place but had a very disappointing experience. I made 3 appointments well in advance for my 3 year olds birthday (he loves hats). Instructed on the website to have one appointment per person, 30 min appointment slots so we had 1.5 hrs booked total. (Myself, my husband, and my 3 yr old). When we walked in, there was a large group of girls picking out their stuff and getting help from the staff (Bach party or bday party). They were helping them design their hats, with patch placement, etc. I know for a fact they didn’t have appointments. An employee on the side with the felt hats alerted the employee helping those girls that we arrived and were her appointment and then from there we were almost completely ignored. We stood for a couple minutes waiting and then the employees just told us to jump in where we could to pick out stuff. Except this group who had no appointment were taking over the entire area and instead of the employees helping, I had to ask them to move out of the way when they were finished so we could look. I had 2 small children with me and my husband had to take them out because there were too many people and they were getting fussy. No one explained the process to us, no one cared that we actually had an appointment, no one helped us pick out our patches and accessories, no one cared in the least bit to ask even what brought us in or else they would have known it was my little boys birthday. People lined up behind us so we felt rushed and my husband and kid picked one patch each so he could take the kids outside and I stayed and checked out. They made one girl in the group in front of us wait to iron on her patches because we had the appointment time, but it was a very disappointing experience to say the least. Maybe my expectations were too high, but with all the hype this place seemed to get online and having an actual appointment system - I expected a more personalized experience. My son’s patch started coming up in the corner and the girls were nice when we went back to fix it the next day, but now a patch on my hat is almost halfway off. Definitely not worth making an appointment and not worth the...
Read moreLOVE the Felt Boutique! My husband and I were in Fredericksburg on vacation and I knew that they had just recently opened. The day before my appointment I got a text letting me know that their weekly shipment of new hats was running late and gave me the option to reschedule which I thought was very courteous. It was our last day in town so I went to the appointment anyways. The girls were so sweet and welcoming. One of the owners happened to be in dropping some things off (on her day off) and joined in to help me create the perfect hat! She was constantly going in and out of the back to review all of their inventory to make sure I was completely satisfied. All of the girls were so helpful with their creative ideas and suggestions and together we created the cutest hat! They were all so friendly to me and my husband and my husband actually wasn’t bored! The Felt Boutique is a fun, unique addition to Fredericksburg and I will...
Read moreDo have to clearly say the customer service was outstanding, purchased my dress on line and I did receive it in a few day! Why I rated a 1 star was the dress is not to my standards on quality. It’s a gorgeous dress but the material feels low grade and is very see through and thin. A little disappointed because I was looking forward to wearing it to an outdoor wedding. We are a couple that most of the time love to support small local businesses and I love shopping boutiques because they are one of a kind. (Update on 5-2-25) Tried exchange the dress after I was told by a sales lady if I bought the dress and didn’t wear/like/fit that I would be able to exchange my purchase, we are in Fredericksburg for the weekend since we are out of town, all this to say if you are buying online please be aware it’s at...
