The Redwood Retreat — Hotel in Gatlinburg

We are a family of four and stayed 6 nights in this lovely, memorable home. If you are looking for a place that feels away from it all when you are indoors but provides the convenience of walking to sky lifts, arcades, dining etc. you can’t do better than this location. We have two younger girls and it was great to be able to walk back for short breaks and easily head back out. As far as the house itself... It was incredibly clean when we arrived and stocked so well!! The towels were even folded in fancy designs!! (It’s the small things, right!?) The front room is so cozy with a view of the sky lift which is all lit up at night, a gas fire place that’s easy to switch on, and wood walls and ceiling that give the feel of a cabin. We've stayed in many cabins in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, and this was our favorite, by far! It was the perfect size for six of us. It is fully stocked and well updated. The jacuzzi tub is a great feature.

The best part is the location. It's far enough from the crowds and traffic noise, but it's only a five minute walk to the middle of the strip.

The only downside was a neighbor who had an outdoor tv that was turned up pretty loud, all day/every day we were down there, even when he wasn't home. We didn't get much peace or good conversation when we were outside, but we can't really hold that against this place...not their fault.

Owner Rebecca helped make my birthday weekend wonderful even tho it stormed 90% of our time in Gatlinburg, but we did get to use the hot tub once!

This is the most adorable historic cottage & you cannot beat the location for walking to the downtown Parkway where all the action is, yet it’s very quiet on this street.
