Drove from Indianapolis area. Wife found a “good deal” over fall break 10/15/-10/18. We have never been to Wisconsin Dells. We were assigned building 6, room 20700. The building can best be described as having the appearance of a motel but some interior rooms as well, from what appeared to be built around the 60’s-70’s. It was not retro, it was trashy. There was no staff on property. The term “resort” is absurd. The room stank as soon as the door was opened, there was dirt and looked like crumbs on the floor. I am a man traveling with two women and three female children. I did not consider it a safe or an inviting environment for my family and friends. We called the desk to cancel, the offered us a room in the main building. We decided to check the indoor water park out first, since reasonable expectations on the room weren’t met. The indoor water park would have entertained the three kids (ages 4,8&9)for maybe 30 minutes. We decided to call the front desk to cancel. They refused to cancel and denied a request for refund. Never once was there an apology. The saying it was too good to be true was right on the money. I spent more money but got a deal down the road at Kalahari....
Read moreWe stayed in room 20700 at building 6. Quite dirty. Wprn out towels. The parking lot is a thoroughfare for thrnresort and people drive qay too fast. There is dust everywhere, and there are crumbs that could have easily been cleaned up under one of the matress in one of the bunk bed rooms. I even found a used lollipop stick under there. But the worst part was the mold. There is mold in 2/3 of the bathroom showers. The upstairs bathroom is the worst because the mold has infested a part of the wall and the trim. They put the dishwasher, fridge, kitchen outlets, and microwave on the same circuit. So, the circuit is very prone to being blown. It feels like they just cut a lot of corners. There is not enough toilet paper for the bathrooms. One of the only good things I can think of is that the room is nice and big and you don't feel crammed like...
Read moreI'm pretty sure our room had bed bugs. My wife, child, and I all had bite marks resembling that of bed bug bites. The floor had chips, band-aid wrappers, and more garbage just left there for us to clean. No shower curtain or lamps were provided. A total of 2 power outlets were in the room. The 2 "queen" beds were actually only full size. An on-site employee was also blasting their music outside until about 4 in the morning I could go on, but I'm tired of reliving this nightmare I paid $400 on for one night....
