The Gyros are really great! They have a generous amount of sauce, the tomatoes and onions are fresh and crisp, but not overwhelming, the flatbread like pita is warmed and has a good flavor that compliments the other ingredients and doesn't take away from them or run the show, and there is no shortage of meat! It is unlikely that you'll be able to eat the gyro without an ample supply of napkins! We ordered the Brewhouse Sampler and the mozzarella sticks and mushrooms really did taste like beer (quite heavily)! The chicken strips were interesting, but in a good way! Somehow, they tasted like southern country fried chicken! They were a genuine delight and would be enjoyed by children as well as adults of all ages! Grandma may worry they'd rival her recipe. The onion rings were also amazing and on our next visit, we will most likely opt for just the onion rings as our appetizer. You get 2 of each item in the Brewhouse Sampler; onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, shrimp, breaded mushrooms, and chicken tenders. To be honest, the shrimp was not good. Also, it was only served with ranch. Hot Dog Avenue is open year round and has a drive thru that is steadily busy. It's located right across from Noah's Ark on the main drag in Wisconsin Dells. As far as service, they were really busy, so it did take a couple of minutes before we were greeted and then it wasn't long before our order was taken. I believe it was the supervisor or manager that took our order and he was very pleasant. He was also the person who assisted me when there was a single item missing from our Brewhouse Sampler. Not only was he insistent on correcting the error, but he more than made up for the oversight. They seem to have a very efficient kitchen, considering the volume of business they do and in what little space they do it in. We live an hour away, but have visited Hot Dog Avenue 4 times in the past year. It is one of my fiancé's favorite places to eat when we are in the area. Our dining experience has been consistent with each visit. A busy locale for a reason! Friendly service, delicious menu items, and relatively...

Read moreWe are from Chicago and had read the reviews and decided to stop by before we headed back home. We asked for 4 Chicago style hotdogs with fry combos, 3 everything and 1 minus a few ingredients. We got our food and pulled away. As my mom starts to hand out food to the kids she noticed we had only gotten 2 orders of fries. So we went back, got in line again, as their dinning room is closed and waited to ask for the rest. We're then told we were only charged for 2 combos and 2 single hot dogs. I'm not sure how they came to that order as I had asked for 4 combos, 3 everything and 1 minus. I figured since this was their error and we had to come back and get back in line they would have at least given us the fries at no charge......but they did not! They proceeded to charge us for their mistake and we ended up eating cold food. Hence the 3 stars. The food would have been pretty good if it...
