Building is run down and needs a lot of work. Not worth the money we spent.
I’ll start with the parking lots — the spaces are simply too small to accommodate larger vehicles. In today’s world, most families drive mid-size or full-size SUVs and vans, so squeezing in and trying to get out of the car is a challenge both at the building and at the theme park.
When we arrived, I noticed dripping water at Building 10, Entrance A, coming from an AC unit directly above the doorway. This left a large puddle right where guests walk in — not only a safety hazard for slips and falls, but also something easily preventable with proper drainage or shielding.
Inside, the carpets throughout the building are very dirty and clearly need to be cleaned and vacuumed. In our room, the laminate flooring is lifting and needs to be re-glued or replaced, and the mattresses are worn out and should be replaced entirely.
The overall feel is more like a rundown inner-city hotel that rents by the hour than a family-friendly resort. That’s a harsh comparison, but it’s the reality of what we experienced.
There are thousands of reviews from unhappy customers, including some who were promised refunds they never received. If you truly value your guests, you should be providing the best accommodations possible — even if that means investing money in your property and raising rates. People will pay more when they feel they are getting quality for their money. I know, because I’ve stayed at other places for the same price and received far better value.
Your park also looks like it's in need of some major repairs as well but I gave you a 5 start review because my kids have had a lot of fun and thats what matters most to me. But at rhe same time. If you see so many of these reviews come in and are negative please start doing something about it. Bad reviews take business away from you plain and simple
*what's the point of asking me to email your staff when you never respond?
I would also like to suggest that you monitor your buildings more thoroughly at night as just about every single night we had kids banging on our doors at all hours of the night harassing my family and...
Read moreAt first glance the building did not seem bad. The parking lot had enough parking for all the cars and the spaces weren't terribly small. I did see some staff outside picking up some of the trash at one point. There was a dirty needle/syringe we had to dodge walking to the car on our way to leave, and cigars/cigarettes all over the sidewalk along the building. Everywhere smelled like cigarettes and pot. Someone had a yappy dog in their room and it is supposed to be pet free. People were up running around all night, they have posted quiet hours as of 10pm but they are not enforced. The walls are very thin!! The room was good sized and I liked the wood floor rather than carpet. The bunk beds were unique and sturdy! My top bunk kid said it was comfortable but my bottom bunk kid said he could feel all the wood slats through the mattress. The TV was tiny for the size of room and was a weird off brand. There was no channel guide. The queen beds were well past their expiration. One bed you got sucked to the middle and sunk right through and the edges were hard as a rock if you could manage to stay there. The other bed was lumpy and hard. The pillows smelled like mildew. The blankets are thin and scratchy. The whole room just felt like it had a layer of grime on it. The toilet did not like to flush. The bathroom door somehow got locked when we left the room and we had to call for maintenance. They came relatively quickly and got it unlocked so that was ok. The hallways/entryways were filthy and smelled horrible.
Overall between the lodging and the subpar indoor park, we were severely underwhelmed and will not be back.
Edit to add: I did reach out soon after they asked me to, but did...
Read moreThe first time we came to Mt Olympus was 2 years ago. We didn't have the best experience at that time. This time we were placed in building 10. Our room was actually pleasant and clean. No smell and the beds were comfortable. Our standards were high but hopes were low. We were actually very pleased with the room we got! The floor did need a sweeping but nothing that was a major concern. Wish housekeeping came in to change bedding and provided more towels though and that the lock leading into the building was working and not broken. The water park was great! We chose to come during the off season and it was the best decision. No long lines or waits for anything! We went in the The only complaint I really have is the guy who was working in the arcade at the prize and game card stand, was VERY rude. He has zero patience and was very snarky from the start. I did not appreciate the treatment we and other guests received from him. He clearly did not want to be working there this evening. I understand the stress of jobs BUT it was not a busy night there. He sat on his phone and any time someone came up to the prize area, he got up off his phone and treated the guests like they were an inconvenience to him. Lots of praise to All the other employees though! They were amazing though from check in, to the water park, etc. Lots to do around the area and look forward to coming back...
