We only stayed one night one day here and it was horrible in ways I haven’t experienced before and we’ve been travelling Vietnam for over a month now. We had an early flight in the morning at 11am and at 2am in the middle of the night, our A/C stopped working so we investigated. The entire hotel lost all power. Nothing was working including elevators and we were in the 6th floor and had to walk all the way down to find answers. No announcement at all on what was happening. They claimed it was a storm which they can’t control but this has never happened at any other hotels during storms that have been worse. It became unbearably hot within minutes, we had to rub water bottle on ourselves to stay cool. Save yourself the pain and headache and just spent those extra few dollars for a proper hotel as they have back-up generators for this sort of thing. Don’t waste your time here. I would give this hotel a 0 stars if I could. Also we never received the welcome drink that was included in our booking. They don’t even acknowledge you when you pass by them in the lobby, whereas literally every other hotel will at least say hello. This is your last warning to stay somewhere else. PS they claimed it would be fixed at 3am which I knew was just a lie to get to to go back to my room so I went down at 3am to check up on progress. They were all asleep and one of them said they’d “call the government”. I literally have no idea what this means or what the government could do. They have more important things to worry about. like what does that...
Read moreThere is a real sense of xenophilia at this hotel. My friend and I are Vietnamese and we come from the South, so we can say we are regionally different from the capital people. Judging on our accent, they treated us indifferently with no respect, especially the security guard.
To put things in context, we did not book this hotel but were transferred from another sibling hotel which ran out of rooms (speaking of logistics management, nailed it). Starting from the check-in procedure, we were welcomed with a cold shrug by an old man receptionist who could not be bothered less to acknowledge our existence and just blatantly stared at us with no basic greetings like "Hello" or even "Hi". When my friend asked whether there was a lift and how to reach our room, she received a scornful reply asking her to just take the staircase. However, I did notice a much nicer and warmer response to other Western-looking people who asked exactly the same thing.
It costs zero dollar to show respect. In this industry the lack thereof will regrettably cost your potential customers to other...
Read moreI recently stayed at Little Diamond Hotel in Hanoi's old quarter and I must say, it was a great experience.
The hotel is located in a bustling area of Hanoi's old quarter, which is perfect for those who want to explore the city's rich history and culture. The surrounding area is full of local shops, restaurants, and cafes, giving visitors a true taste of Vietnam.
The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities like air conditioning, comfortable beds, and a flat-screen TV. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with anything you need.
One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options. It was the perfect way to start my day and fuel up for exploring the city.
Overall, I highly recommend Little Diamond Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Hanoi's old quarter. The hotel's location, facilities, and staff make it an excellent choice for anyone...
