The same level of customer service I received during my shopping experience in store is what I expected for my after delivery and assembly experience and to my surprise it has not been the case. It was two weeks after purchase for my scheduled delivery which was awesome however that is when the satisfactory customer service ended. Now 6 weeks later I am still without a bed to sleep on, unassembled pieces, and missing pieces of my bedroom furniture with still no specific timeline when it will be delivered because of errors made at every single level of my sales orders from processing, shipping, and delivery. I have made several attempts via email, text, phone calls to resolve an issue caused by the company's employees and not one person has done their due diligence to contact me to quickly resolve this situation.There has been no accountability taken by anyone with this company. Finally today I got a live-person on the phone with customer service and to add insult to injury she mentioned for my inconvenience if I paid for assembly they would refund me the cost and still no specific date when my missing furniture will be received. So the wait continues and I still do have a definite date when I can expect to enjoy a good night sleep on a bed I purchased 6 weeks ago that I should have received 2 weeks later. I'm very disappointed and regret my decision to give this company my business.
Update on 1/10/23: Still no returned phone call from customer service. PDT Delivery team company lacks professionalism. For the re-delivery I received a generic email to say call this number for delivery and when doing so the person acted as if he didn't even know why I was calling. I expressed concern with my 12/15/22 issue and what steps will be taken to guarantee the delivery is correct this time. He showed no concern about my issue and told me they just deliver what they receive and not their responsibility to ensure the items being delivered are correct. It said my issue should not be with them but Modani since that is where the purchase was made. As the conversation continued he then placed blame on his driver and said it is that person responsibility to verify what is being put on the truck. So once again another responsible party failed to due their job to ensure the customer issue is resolved. The merchant and third party supplier when given the opportunity to make this situation right did absolutely nothing. It is with hope come Thursday the delivery will be the end of this ordeal and I will no longer have a reason to do with business with these companies ever again.
Update 1/11/23: Make it make sense, 7 week delay because of company error and for inconvenience I was offered a $100 store credit. My total purchase was over $5,800 and the store credit offer doesn't even cover the taxes. I went into modani and fell in love with the things they have and decided to purchase a sectional couch, dining table, and dining table chairs. They were beautiful in the store and looked like a perfect fit to my style and my apartment. Shakira was great to us and we had a great experience buying the furniture, but when the furniture got delivered, to say I was upset and angry is an absolute understatement. I spent over $3,200 on what I thought was nice furniture and was so excited about finally not having an empty home, just to have horrible furniture be delivered to me. The fabric on the delivered furniture was horrible on the chairs and couch, compared to the in store. Everything was scratched as you can see in the pictures. The leather on the couch was WRINKLED and there was no way I could fix it (i tried to). After receiving the furniture, the delivery guys could not return it right away. I had to contact customer service and had to schedule an exchanging day. It took 2 weeks to get in contact and instead of getting right to the point, they offered to give me only 15% of my money back for me to keep the furniture and not return it. 15% is not worth it at all, I wanted new furniture. So we scheduled the exchanging day and when the delivery guys got to my apartment, they had told me that they opened the furniture in the truck and saw that it was in much worse shape than the ones I already have (the same guys delivered it the first time around and they showed me what was wrong). I was so incredibly annoyed and upset and told them I don't want it. I asked if they could take the ones i already have in my home and they said no because its an exchange. I had to call customer service again and instead of waiting 2 weeks again, I was not having it and stayed on the phone for a few hours to get in contact with someone. Eventually I did, and they apologized and offered another exchange and I told them straight up that I do not want anything from Modani anymore, I just want these furniture out of my house and for all of my money back, including the insurance we got for the furniture. It has been a week and they have yet to call me or email me to schedule a date for them to pick up my furniture and return ALL of my money. I do NOT recommend Modani and wish I had read the reviews on them before purchasing anything.
Update: It has been over 3 weeks since I have written this this review. They have come to pick up the furniture in my home but have yet to contact me about my refund. One of the primary reasons we chose to shop with Modani was the promise of an easy return process, as we made our purchase without physically seeing the furniture beforehand, relying solely on online images as the couch hadn't been launched in store yet.
However, this promise turned out to be completely false. Attempting to return the furniture was an excruciating process that took multiple weeks and countless unreturned phone calls and emails. The lack of communication from your end added unnecessary stress to what should have been a straightforward transaction.
To make matters worse, we were shocked to discover a 35% return fee, a detail conveniently omitted during the initial purchase. This unexpected charge left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of as customers. Transparency in such matters is crucial, and the absence of this information during the sales process is inexcusable.
Moreover, our troubles did not end there. The dining table we purchased arrived broken, and despite assurances from your team that a replacement would be promptly sent, we are still waiting for it after two+ months. This level of delay and negligence is not truly unacceptable - we have made numerous phone calls regarding this. It's extremely stressful to think about this every day and keep reaching out for response without any initiative from Modani.
The most frustrating aspect of this entire experience has been the unresponsiveness and seemingly non-existent customer service provided by the manager. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with him, and promises made during the purchase were left unfulfilled. This lack of accountability and commitment to customer satisfaction reflects poorly on your company and leaves me questioning the integrity of your business practices.
In conclusion, my experience with Modani Furniture has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I am compelled to share this feedback to warn others. The overall lack of communication, unmet promises, unexpected fees, and the seemingly indifferent attitude of your manager have left me with a negative impression that I will not soon forget.
