We went to kabob land and ordered off the menu handed to us (we ordered before lunch ended - not that it matters since the menus we were handed should be what they charge us by). After waiting about an hour for our food, we eat and get our checks to find that we were upcharged around $1-3 per item. We go up to the front and the waitress said the system automatically upcharges to dinner prices after a certain hour. Ok but 1) you handed us the lunch menu without any mention of price changes.. 2) we ordered during lunch so the time we pay shouldnāt matter anyways. She says she canāt override it without the manager code. We ask for the manager and she says heās not there. He was apparently supposed to come in at 2 and never came in (it was 4). She asks if we want to talk to him so she finally gets a hold of him after dialing him 3 times. Instead of talking to him, she hands the phone to my friend who basically said youāll give us the bill at the prices given on the menu we were handed or weāre not paying. The manager threatens to SWAB OUR FOOD FOR OUR DNA AND CALL THE COPS... so then we told him to just give his employee the override code bc itās not that difficult. And he refuses, saying heās not giving his employee the manager code. Well then why is there not a manager at hand at a restaurant?! He then says heās on his way and itāll be 15-20 mins. So we said ok are you going to give us a free drink while we wait? And he flat out says heās unable to do that. Ok so we are definitely not waiting any longer. So then 10 min later after the employee sent pictures of our receipts.. he finally gives her the override code- what he should have done at the beginning for the sake of good customer service but he wanted to scam us into an extra $10. So my friend hands the waitress cash for his food and she owes him 2.65 and gives him $2. And heās like whereās my change? And she says she would have to go to the back to get that. Are you serious, you donāt have any change on hand?! We ended up leaving without the change because we were so done with being there. The valet guys even noticed we looked angry because they asked what happened and when we told them they were NOT surprised at all. Seems like this place isnāt going to last long anyways for clear reasons. If you read some past reviews, you see people getting scammed here and there with the prices too.
Overall: horrible customer service, expensive food ($18 for a kabob plate with one thing of kabob and a whole bunch of unseasoned white rice and a little salad...), manager without any people skills who didnāt make it to his shift two hours later and leaving his employees to deal with these situations but without giving them any authority to...

I ordered the lamb dinner back in May 2022. The parking to pick up my To-Go order was difficult to say the least. No one was at the valet station when I go to pick up my order, so I parked my mini cooper as close to the building as possible to ensure I don't block anyone coming in.
The bartender was given my order to cash out. Initially she ran my card and said it was declined. I told her that was not possible. She rolled her eyes and told me I needed to give her another card. Relunctantly, I gave her another card. It went through. I went back to my car and valet CUSSED me out! They weren't even there when I arrived to inform me of what to do, but NOW they felt it their job to use profanity towards me because I parked my car up close to the building, not blocking their traffic, but I guess I was frustrating their process. Understood. But to use profanity, nope. Unacceptable.
Back in my room at The Thompson Hotel only to be disappointed. I paid $24 for 5, FIVE, small pieces of unseasoned overcooked lamb and a ton of rice with a bad salad made with unwashed lettuce that tasted like chemicals.
I never said a word. Never complained. I just knew I was not going to EVER patronize the restaurant again.
Now I am learning the card did not go through for $24 because YOUR system was down for two days and now you all are trying to not only get the $24 from me but $40. What a discussing business you run. The food wasn't worth the $24. NOW you want $40 for bad food and bad disrespectful service, it won't happen on my watch. Where did you come up with that number? Out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is great. I came here because the other Mediterranean places closer to my hotel were closed. It's very loud here due to the space being shared with a taco joint. Getting to the restaurant is difficult. There's a $2 valet fee but I read reviews about that before coming so I decided to do take out. I was able to park at the establishment next door , without any issues, which was closed. I ordered a chicken sharwma wrap and on the menu it said wraps include one side but I was upcharged for $3 for choosing a salad. That was okay with me, understandable but the person I spoke to said there weren't any fries (included with my order at no charge). I thought that was strange to just not give it as a substitute since they didn't have the fries for the order. When I received my order, the person that handed it to me read my receipt on the table, and looked through the bag to confirm my order was correct. When I got back to my hotel room, I was missing 2 pitas (Which they charge for also). It was a bit annoying because I trusted the employee that handed me my food, my fault. I called the restaurant twice (didn't pick up the first time and voicemail said it was full), and the person I spoke to said I could come back to restaurant to pick up my remaining order. I told her I was from out of town and would rather have a refund on my card and was told that that wasn't possible unless I came back. I read horrible reviews before coming here about but decided to give it a chance. It was only pita bread but it's still annoying and inconvenient. Honestly, the food wasn't worth the price but it...
