We booked Kids Avenue for our daughter’s Birthday Party. The kids loved playing in the different play areas, and had a great experience overall. Our concern is with the owner and the lackluster offerings for the birthday parties. It was very expensive, and not worth the cost. When we booked the party we knew that we wouldn’t get much, but wanted to book because our baby loved it during our visit.
The staff was nice, but lacked alignment on exactly what we were to receive during our time there. Upon booking, we were told that juice boxes for each child would be included and that they help with setting up, etc. The staff helped with setting and clean up, but gave varying explanations on the juice box issue. After paying almost $700 for a party; I expect to get everything that is stated to be apart of the package. We paid for 15 kids, and they attempted to give us a half opened package of 6 juice boxes. After complaining, a staffer left to get more juice boxes and attempted to then give us a box of 10, and take back the 6. The owner tried to explain by saying they no longer offer this as a package incentive. He also did not want to give us the juice. Seemed to me, that he was the only person aware of the policy change. BOTH bathrooms in the property were broken, and there were guests with toddlers scrambling to find a bathroom across the street. When we brought this up, he was very unapologetic about the overwhelming inconvenience.
This review is NOT about $5 juice boxes; it’s the lack of integrity from the owner. If this was offered during booking; then honor it. If the bathrooms don’t work; apologize to your customers and assist them in finding a solution. The party package is too expensive to receive nothing but the runaround…the allotted time is also too short, but it’s doable, since most of the kids opted to play...
Read moreI emailed the company this after my daughters party but did not get a response. I just didn't want to surprise them with my review.
We were not provided capri suns for the children although that is a part of the booking, nor did we receive assistance with the setup. This is very disappointing as we not only watched them help the party coming in after us but was rushed out 15 minutes prior than our end time. The party is way to expensive for two hours to not come with the bells whistles and capri suns [ literally $5 worth of juice]. Of course I was overprepared so my daughter's party did not suffer. Nothing special was done for our birthday girl by your facility and that is just lackluster. For $800 you should try to do more to make the party feel special.
The party to play window is not long enough for the kids to eat and play, they pretty much had to choose which one they will do. You should consider 1.5 hours in the party room and additional time for the kids to play after to allow parents time to feed their children and sing happy birthday to whoever's party it is.
It is way too hot in the party room and bathroom, you guys needs to have HVAC come assist with that, it makes the short time in there with a group of people miserable. And if its too hot right now in the winter it will be too cold. The facility is nice despite it being small, the parking lot is an absolute terror! Someone hit a car leaving out twice while we were there.
The kids tables in the party should be cleaned so that disposable table cloths don't show the writing all over the tables, it looks cheap, doesn't match the venue's aesthetic and there is no party cheaper than $550. My kids as well as their cousins and friends usually have fun here but party vs play time will prevent me from booking...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this new place in Buckhead but it fell short in so many ways. Reading the rules listed on their website, it sounded like a safe and organized place, but man was I wrong. First, they state that it is a two hour limit, but there was zero enforcement of this or even a way to monitor it. We went at the end of the day on a Saturday hoping it would have calmed down by then but it was packed the entire time (even up towards right before closing). So many hazards! My friend's son hurt his foot on some concrete dog statue at the front near the cubbies...why on earth have a concrete statue where little kids are walking without shoes?! I witnessed several objects with sharp edges. Their website also states that it is appropriate for ages up to 7 but I witnessed several older children that were rough housing, pushing younger children in the play cars into objects, etc. Also, the place is an absolute MESS. No employees, other than the owner, did any sort of cleaning or even attempt at organizing the entire two hours we were there. The website states that they require customers to sanitize hands before entering the play space and that rule was not enforced whatsoever. It could be such a cool space to learn and play if items were actually where they are meant to be. If I want to play in a messy disorganized mess, I can stay home and play in our own playroom. I saw a used kleenex in one room, some sort of spill in another, no paper towels in the bathroom, the list goes on and on. Finally, the price of $25 is too steep for such a small area. Again, I was really looking forward to visiting today, but Kids Avenue...
