My 16 year old daughter and her two friends visited the store and suffered a traumatizing experience. MOTHERS DO NO SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO LA NAILS IN THE MALL OF AMERICA ON THE THIRD FLOOR!!!!! if you do not want them to be traumatized use another nail salon. The manager is unprofessional, rude and totally lacking in civility. In addition the nail service provided was extremely poor. The tips were poorly applied and the corners of the nail were filled with polish.
When time to pay my daughter was treating her friends, there was no visible signs that she would need an ID with her card (further she just turned 16 three weeks ago and have no drivers license). My daughter was told that they did not take card without identification (which is not the problem) they needed cash. When her friend pointed out that there was no sign indicating as such the manager screamed at him.
My daughter called me at home to ask for the pin number for the card I refused and asked to speak to the person with whom she was communicating. A nice lady came on the phone and asked for my drivers license number and phone number which I furnished then she told me the manager would call me back.
While waiting for the call, I did what any American mother would do. I got in my car and drove to the store in order to provide my identification. I arrived introduced myself and shook the managers hand. To my surprise and utter dismay he dropped my hand and proceeded to attack me stating he was not a lawyer so he would go through the security guard as mediator.
I agreed but then he wanted me to address my answers to him I pointed out that mediation works both way if he goes through the mediator so would I. He threatened to call the police on the children!!!!. I said if you do that I will sue you because they have not committed any crime. The salon offers a service for pay, these children has utilized the service and are paying for that service however you are asking them for ID (which I am providing) or cash.
Needless to say the professional security guards of the Mall of America was able to resolve the issue. My daughter paid with the card in her possession and I provided my identification. However, these children of our beloved country, future taxpayers and consumers were treated unfairly, and without respect, which is harmful to good order and discipline.
These American children suffered an injustice that has tainted their idea of consumerism, community and fair play. Please do not let this happen to anymore of our children. Our society thrives on capitalism, save our children and our beloved country. GOD BLESS...
Read moreAbsolutely not! Never again! Please read and NEVER go here!! I went in for a pedicure and after being asked for my color they did not have my first THREE colors I requested. When I questioned why the book was so outdated she joked they were too lazy to update the book. While in the chair she did not scrub any dead skin from the bottom of my feet. In fact, I had to take the scrubber from her after pointing out there was dead skin and her refusing to do anything about it AFTER admitting she could see all of the dead skin she failed to remove. She then offered to give me a pumice to take home so that I could finish her job. I spent the next three minutes in the chair removing my own dead skin. For a service I was paying for. She was extremely rough on my feet grabbing and pulling with no care. I have never gotten a pedicure in 15 minutes. It was as if she was more focused on collecting money and getting me out of the chair. Before she started painting I was told the price. $60 for a pedicure that I did myself and would still have to go home to finish. She intentionally had me sit in the chair and began my pedicure before confirming she even had the color I requested prior to her starting. She called her manager and tried to lie about her doing the pedicure by mentioning its on camera. When I told her great and to ask him to watch the video of me doing my own pedicure she got extremely unprofessional and said it's the Mall of America so you have to pay more. NEVER GO HERE! Another woman in the shop at the same time also left out unsatisfied and completely upset at the horrible...
Read moreReally over priced for what you get. If I can rate them a 0 I would. Went there a week ago and we were explaining to one of my girl friends, who doesn’t speak English and just came to the US , what style she likes and what color she would want. As we were discussing which color would match her, the nail tech said out loud “You guys are taking too long and is wasting my time. I am going to start now.” Yes, maybe we took 2-3 minutes deciding on a color, but this is our friends first time getting her nails done and we told you that from the beginning. Be patient with us as we are translating to her! Speaking out loud what you were thinking of was uncalled for.
When it was my turn, the lady said that since I have acrylics on from my previous set, it’s going to cost $15 to take them off. Ok, sure. I need to get them off anyway. Previously at my other nail appointments, they would sand down the your acrylic nails, and then soak them into acetone. But this salon slides a plastic nail in between your acrylic and real nail to pop them off. It didn’t hurt too bad, but the feeling was very uncomfortable.
In the end, I paid $100 to get my previous set of nails taken off and for a full set acrylic. It’s only been a week and my nails are starting to lift up. The acrylic on my thumb also is not even. My nails would have turned out better if I had done them myself. The only reason why I didn’t was because I wanted to have a girls day at the mall...
