This is a rather interesting place and we stumbled across it by accident. The three ladies whom we interact with were super nice and helpful. The most senior amongst there (in rank) manage to arrange for my daughter to use their piano for her practice prior to her audition in Cleveland Institute of Music. We are very grateful for their effort even though they knew it will not be recurring. So happy to be acquainted with these kindly souls. The drawings on the walls were also very interesting and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there.

Recently worked alongside a local photographer named Melissa Ring I was a part of her goddess project and she hung our finished masterpieces at the Adams County art council for display and sale. Awesome opportunity! Adams County arts council has great opportunity for local artists and camps for children.

The holiday market was wonderful. We really enjoyed seeing the amazing gingerbread creations (they were so great you can't even call them "houses")! Staff was very friendly and the vendors were all sweet and talented. Thank you for hosting such a nice event!

Review of Violin Level-1 class at Adams County Art Council, Gettysburg, PA.

Donna Spicer, I very much enjoy the Level-1 classes at ACAC that I have been able to attend. Your method of teaching is very informative and constructive:

Breaking down music theory from the beginning, (what a measure is, this is a rest note) -- explaining form and demonstrating what you are asking us to do with our violins -- leading the class in playing our first piece, (Hansel & Gretel) -- providing in-class individual attention and gentle guidance/correction, (fingers down on the strings, don't forget to breathe), to each person as we learn and incorporate so many new things.

Your love of music is very evident, your professionalism is exemplary, and your teaching approach of breaking down all the components of a composition so that the whole is understood has given me a greater understanding of how to read music as I relearn how to play my violin. Thank you for sharing your...

We think the world of the Adams County Arts Council and all of the staff. Over the years we have had many instructors, very thoughtful, kind, encouraging and considerate. It is so important for children to feel they are admired and seen as important by a community, not just from parents and family. The encouragement each of my children has received I have no doubt has helped them over the years take a “next step” of creative risk in their endeavors. It is people and kindness that keeps one coming back and that would certainly be the case for our family. Thank you for the positive impressions you have all made on our children and for someone looking for classes, I would certainly suggest...
