Got a sneak peek of this space before the grand opening, and I am so impressed! The focus of Presidents seems to be on crafting a quality drink. Based on what I experienced tonight, they truly have done that.
The menu is simple, with a focus, at the time of this review, on just coffee and tea. In addition to the drinks listed on the wall menu, there were a few seasonal flavors of each available. I like that. There’s a real sense of quality over quantity. Though it was a soft opening, I was very impressed with my cappuccino. The milk was ✨perfection✨. (There were non-dairy milks on the menu too, btw.) Few places in the area can get a cappuccino right, but Presidents has done it. Bravo. 👏🏻 I also loved the focus on local teas and coffee. The coffee is sourced from a fabulous semi-local roaster, Passenger, and I appreciated that the menu highlighted a variety of their roasts.
I also loved the space. Simple, classic, and embracing the building’s heritage. There were plenty of spaces to sit and chat with friends or work. The staff were all very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable on the menu.
Though there are many coffee shops in the Gettysburg/Hanover area, I think Presidents Coffee stands out as appealing to the true coffee enthusiasts. For those who aren’t into the flavored fraps, lattes, etc…, and just want a plain good cup of coffee or tea, you’ll be rewarded with a visit here. I’m already so impressed, and can’t wait to see what else Presidents Coffee...
Read moreI've been to Presidents Coffee several times since it opened and it never disappoints. The seasonal orange mocha is delicious and, as a Brit, I'm so happy with the number of tea options they have here too (something I don't come across in most coffee shops!). The varying pastries and food choices are always great and I love that they partner with another local business to provide these - the slightly salty chocolate chip cookie is the perfect side for a sweeter drink. The atmosphere is always wonderful and never too noisy, I really enjoy working from there when I need a change of scenery. It's cosy, welcoming, and you never feel like you're being rushed out of there. Parking is really easy with the street meters (which you can use an app to pay for and add additional time). I'm always willing to drive the 25 minutes from my house to spend a morning at Presidents, it's one of the best new additions...
Read morePresidents is so nice! A really nice place to sit and work and sip. It has these big windows overlooking the bustle of downtown Gettysburg—I’m excited to go spend some time their during the height of tourist season in summer.
They do coffee in all the ways (press, pour over, drip, espresso, etc.), and they source their stuff from nearby: Passenger Coffee from Lancaster for the beans, and a few local bakeries for pastries.
When I went, there were college kids quietly working on laptops and couples and friends meeting up around the room. I had my kids with me and everyone was friendly and cool. The baristas were on their first weekend, but they didn’t seem overwhelmed or worried about handling the crowd there, and we barely...
