I would pick either the putt putt center right to the right of town when entering or the pirate putt putt course over this place, all day. We come up to Helen with our littles, 3-4 times a year and finally decided to try somewhere new to putt putt today, and we were so disappointed. The flags leading up to the parking lot should have been a clue…but the ratings on this place encouraged us to continue. We shouldn’t have. The entire facility is incredibly run down. The girl working was sitting under a blanket and we had to ask her to take our money. Exiting the arcade to the course we were torn on which muddied and just, sad looking course to choose, left or right (Chattahoochee vs something). Our kiddos chose the Chattahoochee course and all along the way were met with muddied greens and water logged holes that they were resistant to retrieve their balls from. The water features throughout, like the big waterfall, weren’t working. The whole place was just…over grown, missing rocks, muddied, run down, and…sad :(. There was another family of 6 walking out with us and their boys were upset that the machines in the arcade gave them less tickets than stated…and the oldest boy said to his younger brother “I think this place is about to close”…and honestly, I kind of felt the same way. With a bit of “spit and shine” this place could be great! There was a steady flow of customers coming through…but everyone seemed to be leaving feeling a bit deflated! So sad. I know it’ll be quite some time until...
Read moreHad fun but pictures and other reviews were misleading. We went about an hour before sunset. Played both courses. They were fun and the lady behind the counter was super nice. Just seems like the courses could be cleaned. The grasses weren't very green, alittle moldy. The golf balls were rough like they'd been used on concrete. The club handles were sticky. The course marking posts had graffiti. We finished both courses right after sunset and noticed the outside lights never turned on. We didn't think much of this till we left and noticed people still trying to play in the dark. They were using their phone lights to play. After golfing we played in the arcade for alittle bit. There wasn't any pool tables and my son got hooked on the only air hockey table. Kinda felt bad cause seemed like we were hogging it from other people. We didn't try any other ticket giving games. Overall wasn't the worse experience we had but definitely different from the...
Read moreSave your money. My little boy loves mini golf so I have been to a lot of courses. This place was pitiful. Hard to imagine any of the recent 5 star reviews are legitimate.
Half the course was closed.
There was a $2 fine if your child loses his ball in a water trap. Ok lady, watch me not pay that. I have never seen that before in dozens of mini golf courses I have been to.
None of the water fountains were operational. The water traps were all full of disgusting smelly water. The holes you retrieve your ball from were clogged and full of smelly water you had to reach your fingers into to retrieve your ball. The course itself was really rundown and covered in debris, algae or mildew, and dirt.
I would strongly encourage you to ignore the ratings of this place and go somewhere else. I was pretty...
