Bavarian Clockworks — Local services in Helen

You never know what you may get shopping on the internet, but spurred by the positive online reviews I went ahead and invested a significant amount in one of the handmade chalet cuckoo clocks here.

I am enormously pleased with the result! First, because of the holiday crush and general high shipping volume due to the pandemic, my clock was delayed in being shipped across the country by UPS. When I complained, Bavarian Clockworks immediately sent out a duplicate clock by expedited shipping, which arrived as promised today. (If the first clock ordered arrives later, I will of course return it.)

Jim and Robert at Bavarian Clockworks were profusely apologetic, saying mine was a total aberration and one of only three clocks sent over many years which didn’t arrive on time, so they were eager to make it right and trust me by sending out a second clock before the UPS investigation could be done. A lesser vendor would have let me twist in the wind for weeks or months while UPS fruitlessly tried to track the errant clock down, likely resulting in no result but a months long delay for my eagerly awaited clock.

Second, the clock is exactly as advertised: finely crafted by hand, high quality workmanship, packed very safely and with extremely clear instructions for hanging on the wall (they even offer an online video for hanging, though this was an easy process for someone who is all thumbs.). The clock is working perfectly, and brings enormous delight all day with its very low noise ticking, accurate chiming and figurine movements, and crystal clear music.

I recently purchased a coo coo clock from Bavarian Clockworks as a Christmas present for my wife. The staff was very helpful, polite, and professional. I don't normally write reviews, but because of my experience with Bavarian I felt everyone should know how awesome this store is. Not only do they have a huge selection of Coo Coo Clocks but I chose the Bellowing Stag clock with the wooden weights which I had not seen before and liked the uniqueness of them. A couple of days later I received an email from Thomas informing me that the clock I purchased had the original pine cone weights and that they would send me the wooden weights for free at no extra charge. The clock being wrapped under the tree I did not realize this and find it refreshing Bavarian realized this. I have no large vocabulary so when i say "WOW" that is the same as a person of vocabulary gab which can say a 27 letter medical word . I received my 2nd clock from Bavarian Clockworks & they are PERFECTION !!!! They both arrived within a week of each other.They both are way past my expectations . I have clocks from other sites & they are nice but not of the same caliber of quality as these are from Bavarian Clockworks . My clocks will be from Bavarian Clockworks from now on .
