This hotel was nice; however, I would not pay full price to be here. Thankfully, I was able to book a discounted rate with the conference I was attending. There is going to be a lot in this review, so please read the entire review before forming an opinion on the hotel. If I could give half stars, I would give a 3.5 out of 5 for my stay. I stayed here for 4 nights, and thankfully, the reservation staff were super helpful, allowing me to extend my stay with a 4th night as I had originally only booked 3 nights. I requested to get the extra night at the same rate and they were unable to, but the excellent agent was able to actually get me a cheaper rate for the extra night and was even able to connect with the hotel front desk to ensure I would be able to stay in my same room even though it had to be booked as a separate reservation. The person who checked me into the hotel was super friendly, efficient, and helpful while welcoming my friends and me into the hotel. However, the great service at the desk stopped there. The next day, I went to the desk for extra towels, and they provided them to me, but you must keep in mind that my room was reserved for 4 people, but there were only 3 sets of towels in the room. That worker was kind, but during that time, there was someone in front of me who asked for a couple of bottles of water, and she gave them a few for their room. The next day, I needed some water for my room as well. When I went to ask the desk for water, they told me there was a place around the corner where I could buy water, but that they didn’t have any to give out…. I was just very confused since one guest received water for free, but when I asked, I was told I had to pay. Now for the room, we chose the train car rooms, which are very cute and a very cool experience to be able to say that we stayed and slept in old train cars. However, upon entering the room, we noticed that there were no trash bags in the trash cans, the towel situation as mentioned above, and that there were a few stains on the wall. Some of the curtains on the windows were not functioning well and were kind of difficult to open and close. The bathroom was the worst part; the floor was not cleaned around the toilet, the seat was very scuffed up and looked like it needed to be replaced, and the shower had old soap stuck on the walls like it was not cleaned very well. The bathroom door handle was broken and the door was very hard to close and loud to open, especially when other people in the room are trying to sleep. There was also a hair found on the side of the tub and toilet, but alas, we brought cleaning wipes and just wiped everything down. Otherwise, the room was very quiet, the wifi was really fast, and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again, and trust me, there are a lot of hotels that I would not step foot in again. I am gonna give them a chance that they were just having a busy weekend, and that next time everything will be perfect and fully clean.
Separate from the hotel, the valet parking at the hotel is quite expensive, and I just wanted to mention that there is a parking garage about one block away that is $18 per day (no in/out privileges). The address is 301 S. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46225. You are also able to park your car there and then pay for the total amount at the end of your time when you take your car back out of the garage. I...

After the bus making a unscheduled stop here we were told by the bus driver that everyone had to get off the bus, it was going to be cleaned, and a new driver was taking over. I showed my paper ticket to the driver, asked if I had to remove our belongings & if we were going to be on the same bus? He replied with leave everything under the bus and yes same bus but not until 9:45pm. That gave us 2 hours so we went to the bathroom, used the vending machine, walked to White Castle and got food to go. We were back way before 9:45pm to find out that the bus left and took off/lost all of our belongings (4 luggage bags, an XL dog kennel, and a push/foldable dolly). Since it was an unscheduled stop meant it was not on my ticket and then meant that the person who was working at the counter couldn't and wouldn't help us. After following the Greyhound procedure which was calling customer service still no help that night except for being told to go to the website and file a claim from the lost luggage and if I wanted to complain about the driver. Which I did because not only did he do that but the whole drive he did with us on the bus was so horrible that I was forced to hold my emotional support animal (all 55lbs of her) almost the whole way because he hit every pothole curb and everything else that he could. He also told us that we couldn't get off one of the stops so my ESA could go to the bathroom because he was running late and he was going to "try and make it" he's words not mine so I had to keep telling her to hold it because I was worried about an accident but I wouldn't have blamed her if she couldn't hold it. Greyhound still wasn't able to fix the situation even after 24 hours and since we fell unsafe at the station we were forced to get a room and accumulated costs that we didn't expect. The next day we finally got somewhere at least we thought because customer service finally rescheduled us to continue with our trip. With service down our ticket couldn't be printed until an hour before we were supposed to be on the bus just to find out that they made a mistake and scheduled us to go to the wrong location causing another night to be stranded and without our belongings in a place we didn't know. With a convention in town we walked for several miles trying to find a room for the night because the system down Greyhound couldn't and wouldn't help again. Finally we were able to find a place, spend more money we hadn't planned on and after 2 am got rescheduled for another bus. Being too far away from the station to walk because we were too exhausted by everything we then had to call and get a 3rd reschedule for the bus now causing us to completely miss why we were on vacation in the first place because this rescheduled bus would get us there after everything was done. We Uber just to find out that the bus departed before time for no reason then having us sit there for hours in an heat advisory by this time my ESA and I are both physically showing signs of distress and illness leaving me with no other options but to get us a different route of travel because we had been stranded for over 48 hrs and not seeing any resolution to the situation...

What was supposed to be a relaxing and special stay turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, we were treated with such disrespect, it honestly left me shocked and hurt.
We were given a suite, but it ended up having a serious issue: the toilet made this awful grinding, squealing, and high-pitched whistling noise every time it was flushed—or even when another room’s toilet was used. It was loud, constant, and unbearable. My husband and I both got terrible migraines from it, and I even fainted from how overwhelmed and sick it made me feel. When we reported it, no one took it seriously. No apology, no fix, no offer to switch rooms—nothing. We were completely dismissed.
To make matters worse, housekeeping walked in on us while we were still asleep and completely undressed, well before the 11 a.m. checkout time, it was more like 8:50 AM. There was barely a knock, no warning at all, just someone entering our room while we were completely vulnerable. I’ve never felt so violated in a hotel. It was beyond inappropriate.
And I have to mention Bre, the staff member who spoke to us when we asked for help. She was cold, unkind, and clearly annoyed with us from the start. I don’t know what we did to deserve that attitude, but it was clear she had no interest in helping us or making our stay better. Honestly, someone with that kind of attitude shouldn’t be working in hospitality at all.
Luckily, for us, the morning staff was a completely different group of people, and they were kind and accommodating and so was the valet.
Unfortunately I give this experience 1 star as it ultimately left me feeling hurt, offended, and totally disrespected. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the headache—literally—and stay somewhere that actually cares about its guests.
(If you do want the Crowne Plaza experience, stay in a train car, book at least two months in advance and do NOT book a regular room at this hotel. There’s no exterior windows, zero! So unless you book a train car, you’re just in a hotel with no windows… kind of feels like jail, which is kind of like how these people treated us: like criminals. They refused to give us a refund and they refused to give us a suite that worked ((even tho they treated us with one to start)). Beautiful hotel, horrible employees, at least during the night. I would love to know what it’s like during the day but if you check in after 4 PM, you’re gonna be screwed by the night shift. Bre, specifically. She was really awful. I hope she gets whatever she’s looking for in life because she’s clearly...
