Altitude — Local services in Jackson

Experienced very poor customer-owner interaction today in this store. I was appalled at the way the owner spoke to another customer. Masks or no masks, it was uncalled for. A customer was upstairs in the store and the owner, from downstairs, very sternly and loudly, reprimanded the customer for pulling her mask down below her nose. And she was the only one up there, besides her daughters. She was most definitely social distanced! I think you took your authority a little too far. You need to realize many of us are coming from other states with completely different set of standards. And even in your town, not all shop owners are being as stern as you. We come to your town to relax, rejuvenate, and spend our hard earned money in your business. EVERYONE has been through a lot with changes due to this pandemic. Kindness goes a long way. I’ve worked in the public eye my entire life, from growing up in the restaurant family restaurant business to many retail jobs over the years and then eventually owning my own retail business...I have not and will never speak to a customer the way this owner did her customer. No excuses. Ever. Coincidently, this owner has written all over her page about customers being mean to her and employees over mask wearing, you Miss were just as guilty today. A group of about 5-6 customers gathered outside the store today after this incident. The owners behavior today lost her quite a few customers. Overall feeling from other shoppers was that she displayed arrogance and rudeness and they would also...

I moved to Jackson Hole in the summer of 2012. It was my first time living in a small town that didn't have a traditional shopping mall and it is not easy to get online shopping orders here. If you have lived in JH you know the post office is a social scene just like the bar on a Friday night. That being said, I loved being able to find brands I loved at Altitude. I still remember the first shirt I bought there. The prices are on par with any boutique, especially with the quality of brands that they carry. I have loved seeing how Brianna has pivoted during quarantine and have loved still being able to shop this fabulous store now that I live in California. It is a great place to buy fabulous clothes, fun shoes, jewelry, makeup and even fun gifts and home...

We don't have much by way of shopping in Jackson, so thank GOODNESS for this beautiful store! They carry all the it brands you would normally want to find (with great stock of sizes), in addition to some beautiful lines you might not know about but probably should. They always have great sale racks, as well as an amazing curated selection of jackets/shoes/boots/swimwear/etc depending on the season. Not to mention Brianna and her crew are all lovely, welcoming and a pleasure to work with. I've loved shopping here/sending my out of town family and friends for the 5 years I've lived in Jackson (and I came from NYC so I know my shopping!), and will continue to be a loyal customer. Never leave...
