I have been a customer at Kohl's for many years and always felt their stores and customer service was good. However, on Saturday February 3, 2018 I had an experience with a cashier that needed to be shared which was not unfortunately positive.
As I did not get her name, however she accused me of changing the clearance price by adding a 2nd price tag to the item which was lower. I do not look like someone who would do this. Kohl's clearance items sometimes have 2 price tags on them. As I have been in retail for many years, the law for the consumer is to give them the lower price. However, in this case not only did she accuse me of something I did not do, she also refused to honor the lower price. If I had more time and energy at that given moment, I would have argued my point to the bitter end. I did not purchase the item she decided to pick on and she told me to bag up a bubble gum machine that I purchased myself by just handing me a bag. I have never received such POOR customer service in Kohl's EVER!
I like the store and the variety it has to offer. However, this particular employee either needs to be re-trained if the company wishes to keep her employed or discipline her accordingly. The next time this happens, I will argue my point as this particular situation left a bitter taste in my mouth about Kohl's. I would like to hear back from the management of this particular store about this matter if they care about long term...
Read moreAs a share holder I’m very disappointed with the shopping experience I received at Kohl’s today. The cashier was very miserable and super toxic. I can’t believe shopping with my family I received a horrible experience. The cashier tried to lecture my mother, and I in mathematic with arrogance as if we never shopped in the store before. As a customer it’s not my fault that 2 pairs of Chubbies short that cost $69.50 were place in the summer area that sign says 80% off. There’s ways of speaking to a customer that the item was mistakenly placed in the wrong section but the cashier was very defensive and unprofessional. The only lady who kind of witness what was going on was Alexandra. she didn’t just noticed that I was 100% right, but also saw other Chubbies shorts in the same section. As a loyal customer to Kohl’s I never received an apology. The stores didn’t even honor the price, so I left the items there. However, I’m never again shopping in the Newport mall store. As proof I posted my shopping receipt . I’m super disappointing with this store. Left a bad taste...
Read moreDo not know where some of these reviews are coming from but went to this Kohls to look for a suit. Went and grabbed a few suits to try with some dress shirts. When I walked into the fitting in the men’s department it looked like no one had cleaned it out for days. The plastics from some of the shirt packs were in there and a whole bunch of items. Then when I tried to get some help after trying on the suits it was impossible because they barely had anyone staffed. Then the price of the merchandise, no offense but these aren’t any name brand suits so when I looked at the price I was like for this I can go to Macy’s or even to Zara. So I decided not to get the suits. But decided to go to their clearance area and boy was that another mess. Clothes all over the floor not in their appropriate size pretty much a free for all. So I left with out making a purchase and decided to try Zara out. Store looked a mess, fitting rooms a mess, and poor poor customer service. Definitely not returning back to this Kohls. Again still confused at these 5...
