Michael styled my wedding hair! Absolutely nailed the assignment. 👸🏻💐

I wanted Art Nouveau styled hair-- flowing natural loose curls/waves, hair down, botanical accessory or element.

See photos-- Michael accentuated my natural curl pattern in a wash/scalp cleanse/ curly girl style. Then he secured a very special 1990s silverpaste tiara with an amazing technique. It held in place all night, even though the tiara had no hair combs. Magical technique 🪄👑 He rigged out the tiara with some heavy duty bobby pins, hair bands, and tied a beautiful delicate bow in the back. 🎀 it looks like it's just floating in my hair, and felt weightless, no snags or hair tears.

Michael was so pleasant to work with-- he was patient, thoughtful, generous, calm, excited to figure out exactly what my hair needed.

I came in for a consult a month beforehand and he knew immediately how to work with my tiara! Took on the task with enthusiasm.

He even included a special hair treatment as a gift. My hair held well all 12 hours of my wedding day! His price was also a blessing-- I tipped 100% because I was so amazed by the generosity, warmth, celebratory energy, creativity, professionalism.

I came to Gold on Grand for the first time last year. Since moving to LA, the municipal water slowly ruined my hair; it got oily so fast and my scalp was a sticky mess. Like many women, I consider my hair to be my crown and it was almost depressing to see it droop as much as it was.

I booked Michael for my appointment and have been incredibly grateful for that decision since! Not only is Michael an excellent stylist - he recommended a length and cut I hadn’t envisioned but worked beautifully for me - he also listened to my scalp frustrations and recommended several products to me to treat it. After using the products consistently, my hair is noticeably stronger and thicker and my scalp woes have diminished significantly.

I’m a lazy girlie and only get my hair cut every 6 months or so - if it wasn’t for how long it had grown, I wouldn’t have needed a cut because the style Michael gave me grew out really well over time! But I returned again last weekend and again, I’m so happy with the cut and will continue...

Micheal is the best! I first went to him for a long layered haircut after I messed up my hair trying to cut curtain bangs at 2am. He fixed my curtain bangs and blended them seamlessly into the rest of my hair. He gave me an amazing blowout and some great product recommendations. And then just today I went back as I was interested in changing the undertone of my orangey/copper blonde hair to a more cool toned beige. I had never done color in a salon before so I was very nervous. Micheal did an all over color on my hair and took it from a brassy copper color to a cool toned beige while still maintaining the highlights my hair had naturally developed from being in the sun. It came out incredible and exactly how I wanted it if not better....
