âIâm a pick up driver and it was my first time in this store. There were 5-6 people in line at the register, so I joined the line. When it was finally my turn, I showed him the order details. Description of the cashier: long hair, goatee, light skin, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He pointed to a place, barking, âWait over there,â without even looking at me. I tried to explain that I was there for an order pickup, but he didnât listen. All he said in return was, âWait there,â yelling again without explanation. At that moment, I felt completely and helplessly discriminated against. What was worse, he kept serving the next customers, continuing to put on that fake smile on his face, being courteous with them while I had just been ignored and dismissed in less than a minute. The difference in his behavior towards me versus the others made me feel deeply humiliated and angry. I knew without a doubt that it was prejudice driving his actions, and it left me furious and incredibly hurt. Every time I walked through the door, Harry, the owner, greeted me with his signature, âParty time?â which always brought a smile to my face. Harry embodies the spirit of this place with his incredible kindness and genuine care for everyone who visits.
I vividly remember one time when I walked in with tears in my eyes, going through a particularly rough patch. Harry noticed and took the time to offer me some profoundly wise advice that I will always hold dear. His empathy and support in that moment were truly touching and made a lasting impact on me.
During the two years I lived in Silverlake, Jasonâs Wine and Spirits became a weekly ritual for me, and even now, I make a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area. Itâs a place where you can count on finding not only what you need but also a sense of community and warmth. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone who values not just excellent service but also the genuine human connections that make a neighborhood...

That is when this retail store lost its mannerism A lil dude with a faux hawk mullet came out and started shouting at the person near the glass door "dont let em in the store" then looked at me and he got all histerical "YOU NEED TO LEAVE, YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW" his eyes were bugging out as if he was constipated. I was baffled to received such treatment after i made a purchase there at Jasons Wine and Spirits. I wanted to refund my purchase since he had no reason to be showing this aggressive behavior towards me I had casual wear on and i was speaking in a well mannered way. And this grumpy store owner apparently called "Amar/Omar" went as far as calling a near by store security guard to escort outside. At that point it was amusing since had already left the premises...
