I have been a resident since July 2021, and have experienced nothing but gross negligence from building management (Josh Lee). The building hot tub heater broke and took 3+ months to fix. I was routinely told it was fixed until I bought a thermometer and sent pictures showing the water temperature. There is zero security so package theft is a common occurrence in addition to car break-ins. When I, along with numerous other residents reported that our cars were broken into despite being in our gated assigned parking spots, management's (Josh Lee's) reply was to be more careful and not keep things in our car... Management is never available downstairs in the office (door locked and lights off) and never answers the phone so you have zero real-time contact with the building. Josh Lee claims to not see my emails because his work inbox is full. The building also show as permanently closed on Apple Maps... As I write this there is no hot water in the building and management is not answering the phone or downstairs in the office. Both the garage door and front lobby door are routinely broken where they are left unlocked and open, and management does nothing to deal with noise complaints whether during the day or after hours.
Police have been called 5+ times in the six months that I've lived here for a naked homeless man on drugs assaulting residents in the building, a woman that was shot and robbed in the lobby, and for another homeless man attempting to cook meth in the lobby.
I encourage you to look at recent reviews on here and other platforms to see that my experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are apartment hunting let me just help you out right off the bat...DO NOT MOVE HERE. Trust me. I lived here over 2 years and it was great until about 3 months ago when a new managemt company took over (CREA management). Within a month the place started looking like an abandoned Chernobyl building. Dead plants throughout the courtyard, dead plants around the pool, trash piling up in the garage and around the unit. No managemt available on site at all. If you feel like paying premium pricing for a neglected building and non responsive managemt, then this place is for you.
The worst of it in my own case, and this describes the type of management you'd be dealing with here. I emailed to verify when my lease expired. I get a response that it's up on July 1. Because I know I want to escape this complex (as many other residents have. More available units now than at any point I've lived here). So I go out and sign a new lease somewhere else. The next week I get a response that my lease is actually up August 1, and that I'm expected to pay another months rent. Mind you, I only signed a new lease because the manager herself told me in writing that it was up on July 1st. So now I'm left dealing with this shady management located all the way in Austin. Filing reports to agencies, because of their own incompetence.
Learn from my experience and just don't rent here. Much better options...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly, what this place was a year ago to what it is now is why I am giving it 5 stars. Is it perfect, without flaws? Of course not. But the improvement has been incredible, and it all started when Yolanda joined the team. In the past four months or so, the carpet has been deep cleaned (previously filthy), trash rooms have been clean (used to overflow with trash), I havenāt seen any pet waste in the hallways (used to see it all the time), and my questions, tickets, and requests have all be replied to very quickly, and over the phone or in person. Yolanda has been very invested in ensuring all tenants are taken care of since she got here. She often keeps her office door open and is always accessible, and I have personally connected with her multiple times in person. While I am still heading out of Metwest for a few reasons, I will say the future of this place looks bright if Yolanda and the amazing maintenance staff continue what...
