I'm sorry to say my experience was not what I'd expected. Or what I would expect from a dealer of Birkenstock I was in on 7-23- 23 in the early afternoon and it was busy but the girl working that shift was very helpful. However we really didn't have time at that point to make a final decision, so we told her we'd be back before they close. We came in and a different girl was working and I thought I remembered the size I needed. Paying almost 150.00 for a pair of shoes only to find out that I needed a size up after we got home. (As far south michigan from the island) It was raining so much while we were there I didn't want them to get wet, so I waited until I got home. I wore them around the house and called on the 25th to ask if I could send them back for an exchange. The girl said a manager would get back to me that day, she didn't know how to handle this and they didn't get back to me this day. Employees should have a little empowerment, I mean it was an exchange. I know it's a busy time of year for them so, I waited until the 27th and called again with no response. I agian followed up again on the 31st and I was told that a manager would get back with me. Giving all my info to give me a call back. I got a text saying "Hello this is mackinac Birkenstock. Please send me pictures of shoes. I can't return shoes that have been worn and all sales are final." However no one told me this and I have been waiting since the 25th of July to get a response on how to exchange. I have been able to with Birkenstock directly on purchases with them. I didn't get a response back after sending pictures of shoes. So I'm still not sure if I will be able to exchange or not. If so that would be great! And I would change my rating to a 5 star, even with the delays in communication from them. That's all I was asking for in the first place. It's unfortunate but I'm not sure I'd shop with them again. I love the shoes and would love to just exchange them. Not trying to get anything out of it but the correct size. She never did once tell me the price until towards the end again very pushy and making me feel like i had to. Super expensive. After all said and done i realized i made a mistake buying these sandals then while returning another worker was asking if i wore them simply said no because i walked like 5 stores down thinking i made a mistake then says they donāt normally return shoes but did so anyway for me. I understand if they been used or itās been days since purchased but it was not more than 10 min that i returned them. I would not go back to expensive, pushy workers making you FEEL like you have to purchase something and just not nice...

Two different stores and no luck because ānothing felt rightā Well thatās because other places DID not know how to fit Burks correctly. These ladies (and a gentleman) were SO helpful and friendly!! They took their time and were patient as they worked to find the trendiest look with a right fit. Even steering us away from a more expensive pair, and explaining why we wonāt find the right fit in that style for her (too narrow). Joan was so great, and FUNNY making the whole process so fun, we stayed long enough to fit my daughter, my niece and myself and we ALL left with new Birkenstockās.
