This review is specifically for the OBGYN ER, I’ve had other experiences with St. Thomas, so I know its just this department that is horrible and not the hospital as a whole. I was sent by my doctor who was concerned I was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy due to a sharp pain in my side. The nurse who was working made, an already traumatic experience, so much worse and was incredibly rude. After telling my symptoms, she told me this wasn’t an “ER level case”, and that I should have gone to my doctor. When I told her my doctor sent me there, she said that they were “wasting her time.” And that it “was probably just a miscarriage”. Read moreI have to be in extreme pain if I'm going to the So now this will be three ER visits in two days with no relief.. I'm leaving St Thomas West to now head to Midtown the lady are super nice at ER they look at paperwork and advise that I need to go to OB/ER for assistance the staff is super nice and Dr Ansel and her nurse really took the time to listen and assist with getting that pain down. My only issue is that she knew I need a MRI but would only prescript if I come bk to the ER. At this point I'm tired and frustrated and just want to go home.
Update After 6 days of being in pain I finally been an advocate for myself and it was sciatica nerve this whole time just with a simple ultrasound...
Read moreI called into the OB-GYN ER seeking help because I am feeling absolutely awful. I don't know who answered the phone but she treated me like I was a moron who had no idea what she was talking about. I'm not a doctor, but I'm not an idiot and it has been all I can do everyday to just keep surviving. I was broken down SOBBING over the phone begging her to help me and she spat in my face. I'm beyond words. There's no excuse to treat someone so poorly. Especially someone who is vulnerably and desperately asking for help....
