We were here for a hockey tournament & enjoyed playing at this rink. Parking can be tricky, but I love that they allow tailgating for parents/families. There's a nice little area with picnic tables by the entrance for before games, too. In terms of the usual cold ice rinks, both of these are pretty warm for spectators. Make sure which rink your game is on, as Rink B isn't immediately noticeable & the entrance "tucked in" a bit on the side of Rink A, though there is an overhead sign. There are large, clean restrooms, table space for gathering in the lobby area, good concessions, and plenty of bleacher seating. I was VERY impressed with the wheelchair-accessibility and great, convenient area for those with wheelchairs to get a wonderful, clear view of the games. (That's such a rarity at rinks that aren't at universities or in the ECHL/NHL.) Overall, this was a great rink and a wonderful experience for our youth hockey tournament.

It's the perfect place to have swim meets here. And yes it's old and dated..... Yes the showers need sprucing. But at $8 per session, c'mon and be realistic, it's awesome to even have something this good when the price of a dozen eggs at the grocery store is $7! This Sportsplex is extremely affordable for the layperson and has a gym, swimming and an ice rink along with free parking. If anyone wants to complain about the facilities, feel free to join some other private company that charges a lot more. There of course is a lot of potential for improvement here but it'll also come at a steep price increase so for value, this is definitely a 4* in my opinion.

Metro Parks has decided that they will allow 1 spectator per player into the rink for "regular" events, which in & of itself is less than reasonable. But they have barred all spectators from tournament play, such as this weekend, which doesn't allow players' families from other cities to attend and watch their kids play. The parents pay a lot of money for travel teams, spend a lot of money for Nashville hotels and in Nashville restaurants (tourism dollars) but cannot watch their kids play. The other two rinks across town in Nashville have successfully held spectator approved tournaments all season with little or no issues, but Metro Parks apparently doesn't care. Their actions will certainly cause tournament companies to look elsewhere to hold their games & freeze Metro Parks out of revenue, which will ensure the oldest & shabbiest rink in Nashville to continue its decline. Congratulations...
