DeLoor Nails Manhattan — Local services in New York

Super disappointing experience with this place. I was sucked in by a discounted first appointment offer so I thought I would check them out and make an appointment before my bachelorette party because I was looking for a place a could get my nails done before my wedding. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning at 10am. Got there right on time. The lady who opened the office showed up a couple of minutes after ten. She let me in and took my info and then told me she wasn't the nail tech. At about 10:15, she starts trying to get in touch with the nail tech to find out where she is. At 10:20, she tells me she's still 10 minutes away. What really bothered me though is that she tells me, well, the nail tech tried to call you. And I'm like no, she didn't. Here's my call log. If you're going to be a half hour late for an appointment, wouldn't you at least leave a message? She didn't communicate with me and the office manager had to call her multiple times to try and get information. And telling me the trains were delayed on the weekend is like saying the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The MTA is ALWAYS delayed on the weekend. I wanted to give this place a try ,but there is definitely an issue with language barrier because I booked an appointment online, no one at the front desk so I waited, it was a long wait. Them two ladies were there after the client before came out complaining about extra charges no one apologized for the wait only asked did I have an appointment and I said yes and she acted confused. Then made a racial stereotype saying "this isn't the Chinese "when I asked what's a "classic pedicure" if you are telling me you only do gel and both are Russian pedicure which is dry, ok, then don't advertise classic. Then finally bring out watered down polish after she pushed for gel and other services I did not book for to push again to see their foot doctor wheb you are unsure of the insurance they take. DeLoor Nail is a gem! I recently had the pleasure of getting a Russian manicure by Nura, who was not only experienced but also very sweet and attentive. I had the nails on my left hand bitten down to ugly little stubs; not only did she clean up the mess of hangnails and dry cuticles, but also skillfully used dual forms to build hard gel extensions to match the length of the natural nails on my right hand. The designs and extensions she did were exactly what I wanted, and the final result was stunning. (The before and after pics speak for themselves.)
