Electronics Garden — Local services in New York

I asked them to install a new battery in my iPhone 12. They told me it would be a half an hour. And a half an hour later they said it would be another half hour. When I came back, there was a gentleman coming in the door who handed them my phone. The phone had been taken offsite for the battery replacement. When I went into the phone’s settings to check the battery, it said that the battery was not an Apple authorized battery. After much debate, they would not refund my money, or place my original battery back into the phone. Apparently, they have the repairs done offsite, and a courier brings the phone to and from the store. When I challenged them about the battery, not being authorized, they kept saying that it was. The clerk tried calling his boss multiple times without success. Finally I told them that I was going to challenge the charge on my credit card, and that they would not be getting paid. The clerk indicated that there was nothing he could do, so that’s what I did, right in front of him. They charged me $160. I went to an Apple Store at World Trade Center, and got a brand new Apple battery for $89. If you’re going to buy anything there, buy trinkets and souvenirs, not...
