My dress fitting was fair, the associate was new and only brought out 3 dresses to try on that were not the style I showed her but because she wanted to stay in my budget, which was nice but I told her Iâd go out of my budget if it saved me from alterations or adding on to the dress.
I ended up crying with the first dress because DUH itâs an emotional experience & my now husband and I had to move our date sooner for a major surgery heâs having.
All which I told her so I was on a time crunch. Well I ended up getting the first dress because even tho not what I first envisioned, it was in my budget & would be here in time for my wedding (2 months away) . I was only going to need to add a bustle since it was a long beautiful train. She assured it would only be like $100 more max still in my budget. She measured me & ordered my dress.
4 weeks go buy my dress arrived & I went to try it on. What I was expecting would be like $100 ended up being more than what my dress cost, because the associate ordered the wrong size. My measurements were the same, since the alterations lady confirmed (she was so nice). So I had to have it taken out on my hips in order for em to sit down & then now I had to pay a rush fee, which fine I canât complain since my wedding was pushed up.
I go to pick up my dress from alterations and the belt was not sewn all the way and the cup they convinced me to add in was also sticking up showing , so she took it back and fixed them and I left.
Fast forward to my wedding day, it was a intimate back yard wedding , I put my dress on 20 minutes before I walked out , & literally a bead from the dress falls off and my cup was not sewn down far enough so was still slightly showing. There was no time to change anything so I tried my best to push it down and just not let the bead missing bother me.
Everything was going well, we said our vows and came inside took some pics and then were announced and went back out for our first dance, at this point itâs been max 2 hours the dress and I havenât even sat down in it yet. Well during our first dance my dress ripped from the seam of the zipper, The zipper itself was still zipped up, but where the alterations were done gave out!! Obviously not sewn correctly & exposed my entire back side to my guests. I had to run inside & was so embarrassed & in tears!
Thank goodness I had clothes with me and was able to change to a random white dress I had otherwise my night wouldâve completely been ruined. This doesnât take away from the over $2k I spent to have a special night I will never get back. Itâs only once in a lifetime (we hope) that we can wear a beautiful wedding dress and I wonât be able to have that again.
I was so emotional the days following and so my mom called Davidâs bridal , and the manager said they would fix it. Which they did, but they did not offer to at least reimburse what we paid for the alterations that literally failed. & to top it off , when my mom went to pick up the dress after it being fixed the alterations lady was SO RUDE & tried to charge my mom & went as far as to tell her it wasnât her fault that someone must have ripped the dress off me! No sympathy at all!
My family literally got pictures of my rear end, this is not something you just make up. So disappointing. I feel like there was more they could do.
Photos to show pad sticking out (our first selfie after walking down the aisle) & me walking out of the room after putting my dress on, with help, and a bead already missing from my belt. (Vows in hand because wedding hadnât even started). It had fallen off in transport and...
Read moreI would give zero stars but I canât. Please save your time & energy. My sister first purchased her wedding dress here about two years ago but found one she liked better somewhere else. They couldnât refund her but they did give her a gift card for over 1,000 dollars. Fast forward to about a month ago Iâm now getting married and we decided to use the gift card to purchase bridesmaid dresses, weeeeeell we were all excited we get sized and everything and my girls start picking out dresses. We had to work around very busy changing room with other parties and groups standing around in the fitting room area most not even trying on dresses and it became really hot really fast with all these bodies around. So once it clears out and we can finally have all girls change without having to take turns then the nightmare begins. They donât have any dresses in the color I chose and it turns out itâs a discontinued color ( no one told me anything when I told her that I wanted to go with that color from the start) then Iâm willing to compromise with a similar color and they also only have some dresses (about 2) in that color, then they donât have most of the sizes that we are looking for. It was a complete waste of time which they could have saved us by looking into all this before they measured my bridesmaids and had them look for dresses. I felt really bad since most of them drove from far and some got time off from work but wait ! Thereâs more ! We try to make the best of this situation we see a cute bathing suit and cowboy hat that we could definitely use for the Bach so we take it to the counter and try to purchase and when we pull out the gift card they had to call a manager who then told us that because of bankruptcy and issues they had they no longer used those gift cards. Yes ! Over 1,000 dollars spent and those gift cards were worthless. I know what your thinking. Itâs been two years but turn the gift card around and it says printed on the gift card that it doesnât not expire ! The only thing they are holding onto is that an email regarding it was sent so there was nothing they could do. This place is the absolute worst. Stealing money from customers is crazy. Lawyers will be involved. There is a lot of beautiful bridal boutiques out here that will cater to you and your party that allows privacy, offers seating and even provides snacks, water and makes you feel important. This is...
