Scandinavian Designs Furniture — Local services in Ontario

This showroom was very nice and extremely large. I found several pieces that I liked and made an order by phone. I had delivery scheduled for two-ish weeks later after verifying everything was in stock and paid the invoice. I received a call a couple of days later saying that they made a mistake and that the sideboard was unavailable until next month. I thought about it for a couple of days and canceled the item. I should mention that when I called to cancel suddenly now the item was again available... Nonetheless, we had already moved to another store and went ahead with the cancellation. This is where problems started. I have previously received refunds for canceled items from this company in a timely manner (about a week). This time however, I never received a refund or notification that it was processing. Over the course of a MONTH, I contacted the store and their online customer service at least 5 or 6 times. Everyone telling me that it was "out of their hands" and that the accounting department was responsible. In this day and age, I can't think of any other store, online or in person that takes over a month to issue a refund for a canceled item that was due to their own error.

I have still not received a resolution for this and have resorted to filing a dispute with my credit card company. I can't imagine if someone chose to pay with debit or cash, how they would feel.
