The Switt team was PERFECT; my fiancee and I couldn’t be happier! I consulted with George and worked with Andrew, both of whom were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, friendly and encouraging. Together we created a fully custom designed engagement ring that my Fiancee LOVES. My fiancee gave me an idea of what she wanted for a ring, which included a vintage look with recycled diamonds and moonstones, so starting at a vintage shop was ideal. When I didn’t love the first couple pre-made settings in stock (they were beautiful, just not what I had in mind), Andrew suggested we go full custom, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) - I was able to choose materials, design, stones - the whole thing. We went back and forth many times over the details, with Andrew making excellent suggestions, pointing out ways to have the ring be strong and secure, yet sleek and elegant, all while being cost effective. Once we agreed on the design, he had it made and sent to me very quickly and efficiently. The whole process was clear, communicative, and comforting - and perhaps most importantly, stayed within my original budget. Again, my fiancee loves the ring, and everyone we show it to is overwhelmed by how beautiful the ring is, and how special it is that it was custom made. Ultimately, I ABSOLUTELY recommend using Switt for jewelry shopping, and especially for finding or creating the perfect...
Read moreOh where to begin... I walked in and asked for silver bars. The dealer there looked in his late 30s and stated sure and took out some extruded/stamped (not poured) 10 oz bars and a 5 oz round (a round is not a bar btw). Anyway, I asked how much for the bars and he stated $260 (spot was $19.80 that day). In my astonishment I asked why the price was so steep and that is when the dealer lost it. He became furious and started to complain that you can't find these anywhere. I explained that I have a whole collection and never paid that much of a premium for any bar (and I have quite a few very rare ones). He then explained that he could sell it to any dealer in the area for a $240-$250... Ok... Well I don't know all the dealers in the area, but I can tell you this, if you know where to sell bars at that much of a premium to other dealers, please share that info as you will make a whole bunch of people really rich. Until then, try to control your temper and realize that if your business model is to make it rich by selling silver at exorbitant prices to stupid people, you will be holding on to your silver for a very long time, and then it is worthless.
We walked into at least 2 dozen dealers in the Jeweler's district and this is the only bad experience. Customers beware, there are plenty of better choices on...
Read moreVery nice selection of vintage jewelry, watches, rings and other assorted items. Many of the other stores in Philly and elsewhere just don’t have the unique kind of jewelry my wife likes. I bought my wife’s engagement ring here for a very reasonable price back in 2019, and Andrew was very helpful and not pushy at all. I like the vibe in this store because we don’t feel pressured to compliment every piece of jewelry shown to you in here, and even though I know very little about jewelry in general I wasn’t talked down to or pressured to buy something. So I knew where to take my wife when I wanted to give her a first Mother’s Day gift. Like last time, Andrew was very patient in showing us the large selection. The store looks like a museum indeed, lots of stuff everywhere including the window, and no flashy light displays or likewise like the run of the mill jewelry stores. Reminds me of the setting of the store from the Neverending Story. Don’t let it dissuade you from going in though! Only complaint I had was initially we thought they were closed because the grate was down on the window. I am glad I looked up close at the door. But don’t hesitate to check out Switt for unique items you won’t see in other jewelry stores, and a great...
