My sister and 76yo dad visited Pigeon Forge a year ago from Louisiana. He is a big fan of Yellowstone, and he bought an XXL long sleeve button-down Yellowstone shirt from here. When he tried it on at the cabin, it was much too small, even though normally he's actually an XL. He brought it back and they were out of stock to try a 3XL, but they kept his $70 and said they would send him one in Louisiana when one became available. 1 year went by, and Dad never heard from them again.
Last week, my sister and I returned to the mountains of Pigeon Forge and visited the store again, without Dad (he has a medical condition now which makes the trip too hard to repeat) but with his 2023 receipt. The store owner - who supposedly keeps receipts and records of everything - heard our story, checked her records, and claims to show no sign that they ever got the Yellowstone shirt back, even though Dad clearly returned it to them a year ago. We were with him when he did this. So a year later, after taking his money, not fulfilling their promise of providing a replacement shirt, and being shown the receipt of the original purchase, they decide to sit on Dad's money, offer no refund or even store credit, and claim that they will do nothing further since they say they don't show in their own records that Dad gave them the shirt, despite us watching him do it in person last vacation. Why would he even keep the shirt if it was too small to wear?
This is fraud and we will never visit this store again. It's a real shame. Dad has let it go, but as his son, I will not. It was a slap in the face that they would effectively steal money from my elderly father, taking advantage of his good natured patience and trust, when it was already bad enough that we had to make the trip without him this year.
This is bad business and I just had to say something about it. They won't make it right so it should be noted for future potential customers. New...
Read moreI visited Outback leather while I was on vacation. I was in need of a new leather belt and felt that they had a good selection and the belts said genuine leather. I selected a belt that a was little too small and the next size was not available. When I asked the lady at the front of the store she said that I could go up another size and they could add a couple more holes to the belt. I agreed, bought the belt and took it home. The next day I tried the belt on the first time, and the loop broke off. I went back to the store, explained my problem and wanted to know if I could either exchange the belt or get another loop. The older lady said, "Sure, let me go get another loop. This happens from time to time." She put the loop on the belt and I thanked her and walked out. The next day we returned home and I tried on my belt again and discovered that the loop she put on my belt was for a narrower belt. I called to see if they could send me another loop and they said they needed the receipt and the name of the person who sold me the belt. I didn't have either of those two things. I simply asked that they send me another loop that was the right size for the belt. They would only send me one if I paid for the shipping, which I thought was a poor business decision since they sold me a poor quality belt and replaced the loop with the wrong size. This place does not care about customer service or customer satisfaction. They were adamant about not making things right and only cared about the money. So, I decided to let everyone know not...
Read moreBought a jacket in here and realized the next day the zipper on the arm of the jacket was not working properly. I looked everywhere for my receipt and couldn't find it anywhere hoping one of the employees would recognize me. I drove back 45 minutes to the store. And it was a different cashier but one of the gentleman that works in the store did recognized me. It was a big mess and she called the owner and he said to exchange the jacket only. The problem was it was the only one that they had in stock so now I was left getting something I truly didn't even want... Then to top it off the owner wouldn't even talk to me over the phone. As a successful business owner of 47 years this disgusted me more than anything. I would recommend making sure that anything that you buy from this place is in a one shape before you leave the store. As of me and my family I will not be shopping there again. Just for the fact that as a business owner he should have been willing to talk to me and working something else out rather than me having to take a similar jacket that I ...
