I frequent this establishment every time I visit this city, probably going back five or so years. I game 15mm miniatures (see below) but can usually always find some sort of terrain type items for use. Whoever said they don't support model trains is misinformed- terrain is a big part of that hobby. Probably 75% of the store is geared to RC, which I know little about. Reading through other reviews here I'm amazed to see much of the whining and complaining from folks. Lol, oh the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth because they don't carry your little $1 part! Hey newsflash, this is St. George Utah, not Metropolis. You should feel fortunate to have a store that at least tries to cover as much hobby related ground as possible. I game MINIATURES, and can always find something there worthwhile.
And the owners are standup types, Air Force veterans who opened this place up on their retirement and give back to the community. They absolutely do not deserve some of these clown comments.
Hobby Towns are franchises, they aren't all going to be identical. Whining because this store doesn't jive with your favorite place in 'Idaho Falls' makes you look petty and trite. I'm glad they are here and provide another source of interest...
Read moreI had a pleasant experience the other day visiting this store. We at first had a hard time finding it which was our fault but I called them and asked for directions and was able to be easily guided to there location. Although they lack handicap parking, they made up for it by allowing my physically disabled mother to enter the back door which was much easier for her! Now I went in wanting one thing which was modeling glue. The store associate was able to help me locate and make a decision within 2 minutes of walking through the door, but I wanted to buy so much more! They have models of things such as ships, planes, vehicles and even anime models and figurines! I am legitimately excited to go back to this store, and I don't get excited to go to stores unless there is something worth while that I want. The prices seemed fair. The only thing I'd say is try to make your parking more handicap accessible. Hope to see to do...
Read moreMy last experience here was not my favorite thing ever. I had even left a pretty scathing review. I have since come back on another one of my trips to Utah and had deleted my older view because I feel it must have just been a bad time when I came in that last time. This place is absolutely back to how I remember it I asked questions they were met with enthusiasm as well as genuine conversation regarding the topics. Personally I'm a Gundam collector and the last time I was here the selection was tiny. Nowadays it appears they have a large selection that has quite a bit of variety for anybody who might be getting into the hobby or already participating. All in all, I've come in twice since my vacation started and I've left happy both times.
All In all, this is the best place in town to shop for any of...
