Engagement ring shopping can be daunting. To be honest, I arrived at Carats & Stones already feeling defeated after visiting a few other shops. There wasn't necessarily anything wrong with those other shops, they just seemed a bit sterile, a bit... get your ring and get out, please.

Luckily, I visited Carats & Stones on the recommendation of a colleague. Upon arriving I thought the facade of the store was cute and inviting; a good start for sure. The vibe was more intimate, more boutique, and service levels were elevated. Any contact with anyone working was pleasant, and I never felt intimidated, in the way, or unwelcomed. Also appreciated was their garden area which provided two benefits: 1) added to the more cozy and inviting vibe 2) provided an opportunity to see the stones in natural light.

My now fiancee and I worked with Whitney to design her ring. Whitney was great, and asked many exploratory questions to hone in on what was truly desired. My fiancee didn't know what she wanted, and I certainly had no meaningful contributions. Despite this, and because of Whitney's high level of service, expertise, and guidance, the end result was perfect; we could not be any happier.

I worked with Linda and the Carats & Stones team for our engagement ring, and simply cannot say enough great things about my experience.

I explored every option out there: from high end luxury retailers, to online players, to wholesalers at the diamond exchange. Carats & Stones offered the elegance of high end retail without the brand markup, the uniqueness of a boutique, and the customization of endless options; they could access any stone I could find online -- and then some! -- for us to actually see in person before purchasing. We did a yellow diamond, which was a bit more challenging. Linda and her team were patient, knowledgeable, meticulous, discerning, and budget conscious. I wanted to be very hands on during the process, and they not only embraced that, but guided and educated me along the way.
