TL;DR: DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL CUT YOUR NATURAL LASHES AND CALL YOU A LIAR IF YOU ACCUSE THEM.
I don't usually write reviews but this is worth writing because hopefully, this will save someone else's day.
Yesterday, I had an appointment with Tiffany to do an upgrade.
First thing first, she did not consult me whatsoever and assumed that I wanted cat eyes which was what I didn't want. It shouldn't be my job to make sure my artist consults me.
Towards the end of the session, I felt this cold metal tool touch my skin and pull my left lower lashes. Then I heard something cut. It sounded like a haircut. I did not freak out because I thought she was just cutting my extensions that were stuck with one of my lower lashes.
I left the salon and got under natural light, only to find out that a couple of my left lower lashes were cut short about an inch. You can tell because the ends are very blunt when usually the end of your lashes are supposed to be thinner. I also compared them to my right lower lashes and they looked completely different.
I immediately called the salon and had asked if this was normal. I offered to send them photos or even come back to the salon so they can see better in person. The receptionist did not believe me and denied that Tiffany cut my lashes. She told me to not send them photos because they won't do anything. The receptionist or the artist did not even apologize once. I asked to talk to the manager or the owner and I was informed that one of them will reach out to me.
The next day evening, I still did not receive a call. After three calls to the salon and one text, Ashley finally called me back. I spent 10 minutes explaining to her what went wrong and how I want to stay as a client but I didn't think it was fair that they don't take my word for anything. How am I supposed to trust them not to cut my lashes next time? Ashley's response? "Send us a photo". She still didn't believe me. After I sent a photo, all they offered me was $25 out of $250 that I've paid.
At this point, it's really not about whether they cut my real lashes or not. This really would have gone differently, if they apologized immediately and promised me that this will never happen again and made me feel comfortable coming back to the salon. Instead, they accused me of being a liar.
What I would have wanted was to be treated in a way where I could be excited about being a client. Clearly, they have no interest in retaining me as a client. If this place offered higher levels of customer service, we would be happier and not feel like we have to tell the world about the injustices.
Hope this...
Read moreI have been a client of Lash Lab for years. I drive all the way from the East Bay because this salon is amazing. Iâve had my lashes done by almost all of the artists and appreciate how gentle, attentive, and professional they all are. My lashes always last longer 3 weeks and I get so many compliments. The materials they use are top quality and never irritate my sensitive eyes. You certainly get what you pay for here. They allow me to rest during the appointment and offer a warm blanket for comfort. Unlike other salons, I never feel rushed or that the artists are rushing to get to their next client. The owner Judy does an amazing job making me feel comfortable and learning what style works best for my eye shape. She listens and is amazing at accommodating my hectic schedule. I love that she or her office manager Ashley reach out to book my follow up appointments when I forget, to make sure I get on the schedule during a time that works for me. The salon is top tier and very clean. The owner is also expanding the services and making it easier to knock out multiple appointments. Whatâs better than getting your lashes and waxing complete in one location?! Highly recommend Lash Lab to anyone looking to elevate...
Read moreRuined my natural lashes. Unfortunately at Lash Lab, the level of expertise is not as high as the price you will pay. I was billed ~$360 USD for a new set (if you want lashes you can actually see) and $120 USD for a fill that must filled no more than 3 weeks apart to maintain the 'fill price'. I was very hesitant to get lash extensions and Lash Lab was the first and only place I've tried. I picked them because I had read in online articles that their technicians were very experienced and high caliber artists. During my first visit, there was an accident and it resulted in my eyes being red and sore for days following. I was deeply concerned and they reached out with sincere apologies as well as an offer for a free fill on my next visit, even though I would have preferred a refund. A refund was not possible, despite my efforts. For the amount charged, I would expect nothing short of excellence without any accidents or errors in judgement - especially when you're dealing with someone's eyes and eyelashes. I won't be returning. My extensions have all fallen out now and in the place of what were beautiful long natural lashes are short stubs that I have to nurse back to health...
