I had an overall miserable experience with this boutique and the majorly snarky manager -Lauren. I purchased a shirt online from this boutique from a designer that I am familiar with. I ordered my regular size but when it arrived - it was 3 sizes too big. I sent the item back 12 hours later. But alas - - they had moved locations and had not properly updated their information. So --- this pricey shirt was now lost in limbo for a week. Happily the shirt found its way back to me. I once again sent it back again. Today - they received the returned shirt and issued me a store credit. I immediately called Lauren and advised her I had not been made aware that there were no refunds. There is no way in the world I would have ordered an expensive shirt knowing it was essentially final sale. I politely asked her for a one time courtesy refund. She said NO. Then her snarkiness went to the next level and she asked me in a condescending tone: "had I ever shopped in a small boutique before?" Please girl! Dont try that attitude with me. She then went on to advise me that I read the website more carefully. I went to law school - Im pretty sure I know how to read a website. I have screenshots of their website shopping bag page. I have screenshots of my completed order. I have screenshots of my emailed receipt. NOWHERE does it say - exchanges only. NO refunds. I advised her that I would be forced to dispute the charge with amex - she advised me to go ahead and that they have "never lost a dispute". Geez Louise - how many disputes have they had???? Then she went on to tell me she does not even know how to issues a refund. WAIT. WHAT? You run a retail store and dont know how to reverse a charge on a credit card? I asked her to clarify and she went on to say she: did NOT KNOW how to and did not WANT to refund me Now - the shirt I ordered is sold out in the next size down. So even if I wanted to reorder it - I could not. In fact - they sold out in all the other sizes. So - I have every confidence they will sell the returned shirt lickity split. But instead of doing things the easy way - she forced me to write this 1 star review and open a dispute with amex. Such a shame that Lauren could not admit the checkout process is ambiguous regarding their return policy. We could have avoided this entire situation. BAD costumer service and HORRIBLE attitude. One of the best curated boutiques out there! They carry an extensive collection of my favorite brands: Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson, Xirena, Apiece Apart among many others. Serpil came to the rescue after my luggage was lost and I arrived in Seattle without any clothes. She went out of her way and offered to hand deliver the clothes to my hotel! She not only delivers incredible customer service but also has impeccable taste. I loved the pieces she recommended and she really understood my style. Really beautiful clothing, the selection is unique to their store and great quality. I had the most enjoyable experience -- greeted by the owners who were lovely and genuinely helpful and interested, not overbearing. One of the nicer clothing boutiques in Seattle. Surprised to see reviews disappointed by the return policy - exchange/store credit is typical for almost all boutiques I shop with and, honestly, to be expected.
