Review from Nov23: Ordered the Stavros Stavrou Pita (haloumi) as a meal. $13.50 + $6.50. They tried to charge me $23, so I had to question it. I was paying cash and had a $20 note, but could have easily missed it if I was paying by card. Card surcharge is only 1.5%, so no idea how they came up with $3 extra.. Limited drink options. Chips excellent and a good portion. Wrap could have used more veg. Didn’t notice the peppers or mint. Still very tasty, and nice to have a non-meat option. Will eat here again, but stay aware of the prices. Review from May23: Quick working lunch stop. Bought a Zeus wrap and small chips, $20. Wrap was quick, fresh, and tasty. Chips were excellent. Portion was perfect. Lamb in the wrap had a few super big chunks that were tender enough to work through. Was only given one napkin and no cutlery available, so was a bit messy. Quick service. Neat and clean. Happy!

Ordered the Spartan Bowl. For the price paid (approx 30 bucks when made into a meal) it was a very average offering. The staff seemed overworked and unprepared for the custom they had for a Saturday night which also led to mistakes - i.e. the dip not being served with the hot chips, which came 15 minutes before the rest of the meal (a total wait of 30 minutes); only one pair of cutlery being provided. When received, the chicken was overcooked, the pitta bread was dry and the slaw in some dire need of moisture. Yet, the only dressing that was provided was a measly slice of lemon. Just a really poor offering which did not meet expectations at all, especially considering the quality of the Greek food and service over the road in comparison.

Soooo the service is nothing special and to top it off they charged $8 for only 6 loukoumaders ... which where burnt to taste and have paid over $1 per one expected to have them cooked propper and no burnt taste or even get x8 definitely go to any other place in Southbank and get these. This was from 6 years ago... Today tried to go back and after waiting 5 minutes the person behind the counter fluffing about doing not much just making herself look busy... she got excited when a guy walked in and served him while still ignoring me and even after I loudly said well the service here is still crap as you don't get any unless they choose. She still proceeds to serve him before me. Continue to go elsewhere everyone.

Edit: they contact you on here about resolving the issue and then ignore your email about it. Clearly an attempt to look good on Google Maps but actually terrible customer service at head office too. Reduced to 1 star.

Ordered two pita wraps and chips for lunch. Pitas were delivered with no chips. Waited 5 minutes and asked where they were: they had forgotten them. 5 mins later the table next to us got extra zucchini chips they didn’t order. 15 mins later we have finished our wraps and no chips so we go up to swap the chips for baklava donuts. This is when our chips are offered to us but we decline as our meal is finished now and 15mins is too late for such a simple side. The server agrees to swap them for baklava donuts. We wait 10 mins and then I assume (no introduction so no idea) the manager comes to the table and asks what he can help us with. So we explain all of the above again. He says the donuts are more expensive but he’ll do it. We wait another 5 mins and we get the Nutella and walnut donuts delivered to the table (I assume these cost less since the man that approached the table is so concerned about cost vs customer service). I explain again that it has been disappointing service and the wrong item. No apology from the man. He then blames it on the server saying it is her first day. Terrible sign of a manager that they blame their staff rather than apologise. So I point out that if the team member is starting today she shouldn’t be left unattended to serve customers and that is a very poor business decision. No answer. Ultimately they forgot our order of chips. Gave extra zucchini chips to another table (yet worried about cost). Then gave us the wrong dessert. No real apology along the way. No refund. We left the donuts as it wasn’t what we ordered. Bad customer service. The man who may or may not be the manager could do with some customer service training and if the tale about the new staff member is true then the company could do more to support new staff. Would...

The food flavourless and uninspiring. We arrived at a quiet time at 5pm on a Sunday and 6 of us walked in to order. With only 2 customers seated in the venue and 5 staff talking behind the counter we were told to wait for 2 - 5 mins by manager Sukriti who kept talking with other staff and continued doing prep ignoring 2 customers at the register.

Eventually a young Sth Korean girl took our order while the others continued to socialise.

The Spartan bowls of lamb we ordered had fatty pieces of flavourless meat. The only enjoyable bowl was one with rice and salad. The vegetarian Spartan bowl lacked flavour too. For the Smoked Lamb Pita wrap it was over priced and again no flavour, if someone had smoked a cigarette while cooking the lamb it may have injected some flavour.

We ordered extra pita bread (very small serve of 5 small pieces) and a variety of dips. The only one dip I would order again is the tzatziki dip which tasted smokey lol.

Do not waste money on the haloumi chips as you only get 5- 6 chips. They are bland and overcooked. The normal fries with herbs, and fetta was an ok portion finally but overpriced too

Lastly the kids meal came out last after everyone was served and after we queried the waitress. My child said to the waitress "I thought kids meals are meant to come out first" it was a snitzel and chips. Not bad portion but some pieces still had small bones in the chicken which was found while chewing by my child. Not a good experience and very dangerous too.

Again my yearning for good fast food Greek is left wanting and I fear Zeus will strike this place with lightning for using his Godly name. Also management needs training on customer service and to have staff wipe down tables regularly as all of arms and napkins was sticking to the outside tables.

Good luck if you decide to try this fast food outlet as the harpes may make you wait and serve you less than ...

We've had many visits over the years.. and the meals have always been tender, juicy and flavours filled. Tonights dinner however was a 180° from that.

Service, walked it to view the menu and it isn't the best look when staff are all in the back room chatting and no one attending the front. The young lady who served us was friendly enough thou.

Food, this time we ordered 2 dishes from the Souvla menu (Pork neck and chicken thigh), a bowl of chips (feta and oregano) to share and a few drinks. The meats were both just warm and very dry, I'd make a bet it was pre-cooked earlier in the day and kept warm, which I wouldn't really mind if at least they were some kind of moisture in it. The chips were the same, somewhat warm but definitely not freshly made and only a dash sprinkling of feta. In the past we've always opted for the feta chips when dinning at Zeus as they were the opioid of all chips!! Alas, all that has changed.

Cleanliness, general cleanliness was sub par, table and benches a little soiled with grime but the sink.. (it's nice to have a sink for customers to wash their hands pre/post dinner) it's not a very good look to have it looking that dirty. Towel dispenser empty (no big deal, napkins available) but the grime and buildup on it was akin to a frat house sink minus dishes.

Will we custom again? I'd be lying if I said "no". Most likely will, a light lunch down the track sometime in the distant future is highly plausible. I will update...
