When we visited this place last year. The experience was awesome and we liked it. Waitress was nice and friendly. This year brought whole family over (almost 10 people - 9 adult one infant) however the experience we got was not that exciting and good. Two people in our group was not well and didn’t want to order a whole meal but wanted to take a bit off from their children’s plate (share it). From start the waitress with loud voice started saying. This order is for 7 rest doesn’t want anything. We replied don’t worry the rest will share it. By the time when she brought the food. 1st. She stared saying with a loud voice. Okay so since you guys are going to share it, are you sure it will be enough. The tone and attitude was not really pleasant and welcoming. I don’t like to show my anger but I really wanted to ask for a manager to complain at that time. But I didn’t because she did a great job the year before. 2nd. We don’t eat meat or pork. So we asked to please make sure our order is customized as we ordered. What we got, both orders were messed up and had bacon strips in the meal “Kitchen sink”. Our guest mistakenly took a pancake out of it , before we noticed, when we asked them to change it, they took them back but guess what. They just took the meat off the plate, put it back on another plate and bring it out. You may ask how do we know it? Because the exchange was done super quick and they didn’t bring 3 pancake which “Kitchen sink” usually has, they brought two pancake in one of them which they didn’t notice to take back on initial mistake Overall, mistakes happen but the exchange done was shady. The things that bothered me the most was that I felt the waitress wanted to humiliate us not knowing what the overall case was. In conclusion, you lost your future business from me and guests that I would have...
Read moreso me and my boyfriend accidentally went here because the ihop we originally wanted to go too was closed. my boyfriend's canadian and im american, so i was talking up applebee's because i remember it being cheap and good. i was wrong. thank god we stopped by starbucks and got waters because i cant imagine how much more expensive the bill would've been. we got two meals, no sides, no appetizers, no drinks, and the total was $70? like literally how? our two meals were $30 and $28 dollars, plus two taxes, one was $8 another $4. i asked the waitress to take off the BAIF tax because why are you taxing us a tourism fee? at least have a view of niagara falls if you're gonna tax me that. anyway, she took it off, but it only saved us like $4, so. plus, we originally had a sweet waitress named Jasmine, and this Kayla girl stole our table from Jasmine. she wasn’t sweet or anything, she was so quiet, shy, and uninterested in our table lol. she took forever to do everything. getting the bill took like 20 minutes to come to us, even though we had finished our food and asked for it. not to mention the food was incredibly unsatisfactory. i got a mac and cheese with chicken, the chicken were the tiniest pieces of chicken i could’ve ever been given. and the cheese tasted like microwave frozen pasta meals. yk, like the cheese was chunky, idk. the breadstick was fire though ngl, but i can’t imagine how much more expensive it would’ve been if i had ordered extra. also my mac and cheese was a penne pasta, which i was confused about, but whatever, doesn’t really matter. my boyfriend also got a pasta and it was worse than mine, but, thank god it was two dollars cheaper than mine. this...
Read moreMy family and I went to this Applebee’s location on May 30, 2022, at around 3 pm. We were visiting Niagara Falls and were staying at the Embassy Suites just across the street from Applebee’s.
I know discrimination when I see one. Much more if I experienced it first hand.
When my family entered the restaurant, we were asked by a young gentleman how many were in the group. There were five of us. Then the young man took his time to get cutleries from a shelf right where he was standing. He did not even bother to greet us as we came in. The young gentleman then showed us our table next to the washroom. He said it is either we take that table or a table behind a building column that sits four people and just grab an extra chair. My family only had two options when it was clear that the restaurant was almost empty. There were only three occupied tables then. Two of those were by the window.
I told the young gentleman that we prefer a table by the window. He answered us with a loud tone that we could only sit in either the two of tables he told us before—by the washroom or hidden behind a column. We politely declined the offer and went to a different restaurant instead. We could tell that the young gentleman was happy when we left. The smirk on his face said it all.
My family and I have never tried Applebee’s and will never attempt to try again after this experience.
