Ordered vegetable ramen. This comes with spicy eggplant, corn and green onion and some red shavings I'm not sure what they are. This comes dry, no broth. First off I am a lover of eggplant and this eggplant was soft flavourful and the perfect portion, corn and green onions were fresh. The ramen is coated with a sort of spicy sauce. I felt the ramen was quite starchy and was quite compacted as though it was sitting in the bowl for some time, was difficult to break apart. Nonetheless, the dish comes together well with just the right amount of spice. I really enjoyed this but I would have preferred the noodles not be so starchy. I will order this again as it was very filling and tasty. At $16 and change including tax I am satisfied with the value for quantity/quality of food.

This location is in a food court and does not have the ambiance of other Sansotei locations. I ordered the Tonkotsu Plus which came with smoked pork pastrami, meatballs, chashu, daikon, shiitake mushroom, green onions, and truffle oil. The soap was tasty but on the thin side for tonkotsu. Since the ramen was served at food court, the ramen came in a cardboard container. The visual appeal just was not present. Also, the amount of soap seems less served in this container. For a quick lunch where you are limited in time, the service was quick and lots of seating available. If you have the time for a proper sit down meal, I would suggest the Eglinton location on Yonge. Great atmospheres and has some location based deals.

Loved the tomato ramen... Not sure if you can make it spicy, but that would be something I'd wanna do! The soup was rich, and contained a scallop, along with one piece of chashu. The noods, however, were a bit of let down... I think they were overcooked and lost its chewiness. Will have to try again to test it out! Edit: Two things I think you could improve on... The spoons are not very useful for soup in this type of bowl. Everytime you go in to scoop soup out, half of it spills out. The deeper type would work better. Also, the zangi fried chicken - is it supposed to be crunchy? I found that there was very little batter on the serving we got today... It was a good portion at $5 tho!

I ordered a tomato Ramen & sea weed and paid it with full price.I also paid tips and totally price is around $25. But the staff gave my order to another consumer and they opened box and eat something, but then they find something wrong. Therefore this consumer returned this order to staff. Guess what, the staff just passed it to me. Actually, I am very angry. Why should I eat a box of ramen that the other consumers have already eaten it and return to restaurant staff. I paid my ramen and also paid for tips. It is not what I deserved. I don't remember they apologized to me. I swear I saw other consumers open the food box and eat something. Also they cook another one for me, I still feel angry and offended since if I don't say it, definitely I will eat other's left with payment of full price and tips. What they did violate Safe Food for Canadians Regulations. The reality for me is that they just apologize to me in this Google Map APP when I comment it. The reply of this comment from store is not true. They never say sorry in store for me. I will never order any food in here anymore. Moreover, I was so angry that not realizing that I paid for sea weed, but they never pass sea weed to me. As you can see from my picture, what I have is...

Took me so long to try out Sansotei... been passing by the one at Eaton and Adelaide so many times. Guess the tax holiday did help me make the decision to eat there at Union.

I was there for dinner, almost end of the day, guy who took my order looked a little bummed out, either coz he's tired from a long day of work or coz I didn't tip(coz it's self service)

The broth is amazing!!!! what spoil's it is the bowl that in comes in... too cylindrical and tall, making it hard to enjoy to scoop the broth with your spoon. That packaging is a takeout packaging at best.... Hope they can revisit the design of the takeout bowl that it comes it for a better exeperience....since Union customers buy and eat at the food court itself.

Sucky part about eating at Union Food Court.... there's chances of the crazies/homeless around to spoil for eating...

First time, I had the Tomato soup noodles at noon and found the broth flavor lacking. I'm not sure if this is because they changed the recipe for take out or that the new kitchen didn't execute properly. I've had much better Tomato soup noodles at other Sansotei locations.

Second time, I had the Tan Tan soup noodles which is a safer choice flavor wise because of the spiciness. It was decent and I didn't notice any difference from the usual. However, I realized why the experience isn't as good as normal. They should have plastic asian soup spoons instead regular spoons. The regular spoons don't pick up as much soup.

2024-10-23 Update: Still mediocre. This time, the scallop in the tomato soup noodles was not cleaned properly and was sandy. Should avoid it at...
