Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 Cheese Pork Cutlet ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Rori Spicy Pork Cutlet ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 Cheese Ball ⭐️⭐️⭐️ YangNyeom Wings ⭐️⭐️.75 —————————————— I’ve been craving cheese tonkatsu for so long, but Saku has so much line ups.. But I think I found a place that could def replace Saku for sure. Rorimomo calls themselves K&J restaurant, but I would consider it more like Korean restaurant, where it will be perfect for drinking too! Their pork cutlet was real good, very crispy and comes in a set with side dishes, rice, soup, and prawn tempura. I personally found cheese katsu going really well with the spicy sauce that came with Rori Spicy Pork Cutlet! Yumyum. The main reason I went there was to try their cheese ball. It’s not the texture or the taste of sauce I’ve expected, but still good enough to fulfill my desire. the sauce of cheese ball tasted like plain yogurt. Their wings were alright. I want to try out their other chicken sauces to judge, but the yangnyeom was just too sweet.. All I could remember of the chicken was that it was sweet. but my general impression of this place is very good and I would def visit again —————————————— 돈까스에서 한국의맛이납니다..
Read moreGreat place to eat late as they are open to 2am. It wasn't busy when we arrived at 7pm on a weekday and we got seated right away. I got the kimchi fishcake udon ($23) which was good. It is spicy but not overly spicy. The soup is delicious. Also got the bibim noodle ($25). You get a few choices for this and we picked ramen, bulgogi beef (+$3) and yuzu soy for the sauce. Sauce comes on the side and you pour it over. Also good! The yuzu sauce on its own is a mild vinaigrette. Mixed with the bulgogi sauce it's this amazing sweet mixture. There are a fair number of vegetarian dishes on the menu and they labeled. Average food price is about $20-$30 for a meal. Servers were very attentive and quick! The place was a little busy so it doesn't feel empty but not so busy that it's too noisy. It's easy to have a conversation here. Groups of 4 are easy. I'm pretty sure they can accomodate much larger groups by pushing tables together. They accept American Express. Good experience. I will need to come again to try some of the other good stuff...
Read moreAmazing Korean fried chicken and great customer service.
I recently visited Vancouver with some friends and we decided to stop by Rorimomo for a bite to eat. I was particularly in the mood for Korean fried chicken, having just moved out to the Midwest where the closest thing to Korean fried chicken is... well, regular fried chicken. We split the half and half chicken with yangnyeom sauce and spicy sauce, and it was amazing. It was even better than the (also great) stuff I had in Philly and DC. Like, we're talking perfectly crispy outside where the breading didn't separate from the meat, the perfect amount of sauce, and perfectly cooked chicken (I swear I wasn't paid to shill or anything). Next time I'm in Vancouver I'll definitely drop by again.
In addition, we had a minor issue with another friend's dish. The waitress immediately came to apologize, offered to replace the dish, and apologized profusely again. She was incredibly nice and willing to remedy the situation immediately, and we were all...
