🇭🇰 Tsim Sha Tsui|Sake bar MURA
Sake 🍶 can be easily found in a lot of bars and restaurants but they are nowhere near the quality and varieties that you can find in a sake bar! 😝 They also offer a lot of different kind of snacks to go with their sake! 😉 I tried:
🍶Sake: 🎐 風之里「和」純米吟釀 🎐 This has a stronger “rice” taste, 🍚 which makes it harder for some to drink but the flavor is very unique that I kinda like. 😁
♦️ 寒菊 Red Diamond 愛山純米大吟釀 ♦️ This one taste relatively sweet, 🤩 one of the sweetest sake that I have ever tasted. Highly recommend it to those who like sake which is at the sweeter side. 😋
🪵 高柿木 純米生原酒 🪵 This is by far my favourite sake. It sits at the middle of the sweet and bitter spectrum. 😲 It has a perfect balance of the both, which makes it very right for me! 😍
💕 初戀 純米 生原酒 💕 This sake is made with the idea of first love ❤️🔥 and the flavor it gives is only sour and bitter, which is quite interesting. 👀 Let me know if it is relatable to you guys! 😂
Apart from the drinks, there are a lot of side dishes that is perfect to go with those sakes, ☺️ like different kind of skewers, 🍢 rice balls 🍙 and fried chicken! 🐔
For those who are not familiar with drinking sake, 🍶 the shop manager would choose one based on your preferences! ☺️ He would also tell you the story and information ℹ️ about the sake they chose, which is very interesting! 🧐 They also have a lot of events going on every week, 😄 like 30% off Monday, 🤑 tasting Thursday for people to try out multiple drinks at a cheaper price, and event Wednesday where they have special theme 🥳 every week like trying out a certain brand of sake or playing tarot cards! 🃏 Definitely worth coming back once in a while! 😜

👀 As soon as you step inside, you'll feel the thoughtfulness in every corner. The place is adorned with Sake bottle decorations as light fixtures and on the walls. Combined with gentle Japanese music, it's like stepping into a hidden izakaya in a Japanese alley. The vibe is absolutely spot on!
The manager and staff here are certified JSA and SSI sake sommeliers. They bring the Sake to life with lively introductions and share stories behind the breweries. Sip and listen—it's an educational experience 👍🏻
🍶 Speaking of Sake, the selection here is so vast you won't be able to try them all. Prices range from $58 to $108 per glass, with even fancier options available! There's no fixed menu (the manager, Nic, is the living menu here). Behind them, you'll find two large refrigerated cabinets stocked with at least fifty to sixty types of Japanese Sake, fruit wine, and shochu. Nic will recommend on the spot and patiently answer all your Sake-related questions 🐈
🌟 That night, I got so caught up chatting with the manager and staff that I forgot to keep track of how many Sake I tried. But hey, Nic said about 2/3 of the selection changes every month, so I fully immersed myself in the Sake Omakase experience and enjoyed the pleasures of drinking Sake.
🥃 Whether it's a regular day or the weekend, if you're looking for a place to relax or have a few drinks with friends, Sake Bar MURA is a great choice. Just remember, they're closed on Sundays!
I'll definitely bring my friends here again because not only are the manager and staff professional, but they are also incredibly welcoming. Their passion for Sake is truly contagious, and I can't wait to share this incredible experience with my...
Read moreI recently enjoyed a night out with friends at Sake Bar MURA. The bar boasts elegant decor with black furniture and soft lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxation. 🎶
They specializes in a wide selection of Japanese sake, fruit wines, and shochu, all thoughtfully curated by their expert sommeliers. 🍃🍶
A few standout sake options I tried included:
Kamo Nishiki Junmai Daiginjo ($98): A lovely balance of sweetness and acidity. 🍏 Librom Blueberry ($98): Smooth and fruity, my personal favorite! 💜 Abe Regulus ($98): Light and refreshing with hints of lime. 🍋
We also enjoyed delicious appetizers like the Lobster Salad ($38) and Dried Fish ($88), which paired perfectly with our drinks. The Aged Chicken Wings ($48) were juicy and packed...
