The food is quite tasty - geek salad was very fresh and spinach gnocchi was great. For a traditional Czech restaurant, it has quite a "big" choice of vegetarian dishes (apart from salads) - there are 4 and not all of them are hermelin ;)! We were there kind of early (about 7pm) and they were already out of one of those choices - that seemed kinda strange. Menu on their website seems to be out of date as it's a bit different from the one you get in the restaurant. Our waiter could not really speak English much and spoke quite hilariously in something that seemed to be an attempt at combining German with scraps of English. As funny as it was, he would most probably be rather useless if I'd have an acctual question or concern. The restaurant does not serve the local Eggenberg beer and instead has some tasty Budweiser in...

It happened to us on August 30, 2017, at 3 p.m.. The advertisement of the restaurant said that they have menu in Russian. The attitude of the personal was nice before we asked that promised menu in Russian. The waitress threw the menu firmly to our arms saud that they don't have menu in Russian and after that started shouting at us andbegan showing with her arms that we should go away from the restaurant!!! She expelled us away just because we are two senior people who speak Russian better than English or Hebrew! We are from Israel, have been to many countries, but NEVER and NOWHERE have met such disgusting and humiliating attitude! !! Hope people will avoid this place! If we could give the rate of minus...

Came with my family there and were met with an incredibly poor experience. After waiting a significant amount of time (over 10 minutes) with no service, we politely inquired about placing an order. The waiter completely ignored our request.

After another few minutes I asked again and the waiter responded with rudeness. He made it clear that we are not welcome and even suggested we leave the restaurant, implying there were other dining options available.

Wasn't surprised that this place was half empty on Jan 1st, when other restaurants nearby were full. We left and had a great dinner in the restaurant nearby.

Btw, the place is also very high priced compared to others in the area....

A partire dalla cittadina, molto particolare, e molto bella!!! Per problemi personali non sono potuta andare al castello ma mi rifarò! Passiamo al ristorante che poi è il protagonista della recensione. Essendovi poca affluenza poiché bassa stagione c’era un solo cameriere, sa l’inglese quindi no problem. Qui parlano anche tedesco essendo molto vicini al confine. Il cameriere in questione simpaticissimo, educatissimo e attento al cliente… un personaggio in linea con la particolarità del locale che all’ingresso ha anche un trenino che ‘viaggia’ sopra le vostre teste! Per ciò che riguarda il cibo… buonissimo! Abbiamo preso una torta di patate con cipolle croccanti e salsa all’aglio come antipasto, tutto buonissimo; e poi abbiamo optato per un secondo, io filetto di maiale con patate e mio marito lo stinco di maiale con Senape e kren. La carne sembrava burro, si scioglieva in bocca, tutto molto saporito ma non pesante. Abbiamo poi preso un boccale di birra ciascuni e due dolcì giusto per chiudere in bellezza… un pancake con mirtilli (mi pare)e un cuore caldo con gelato alla vaniglia e marmellata di ciliegie. Non abbiamo pagato molto, anzi, e tutti meritati. I piatti erano abbondanti, abbiamo fatto fatica a terminarlo (ma ci si riesce visto la bontà!). Super consigliato.
