The boss is rude, a breakfast that ruins our (family) mood. Do not recommend because of the attitude and public shaming.

What has happened: I asked for the bill, the waitress sent a bill and left for a long while.

It happens, I thought I made the payment. I slowly walked out with my family, the waitress then ran out and asked for payment.

I apologize for my forgetfulness and run back with her to make the payment.

The boss shouted at me rudely as if I escaped payment on purpose. I explained and he was still mumbling and stared at me rudely in front of others customer. It definitely feels like public shaming.

If I were to escape the payment, I could have: not ask for the bill run instead of walk slowly

Perhaps if I'm a Westerner, then my apology is more acceptable? I wouldn't recommend this cafe because of the boss behavior.

Do not treat your customer like a criminal. It ruins my holiday. You should apologize for your bad attitude.

Here is a suggestion for you to avoid this to happen again: improve your payment flow.

The moment you sent the bill, you could bring the card machine together to charge immediately to avoid unnecessary conflicts. Your waitress asked "cash or card" BEFORE sending the bill. I replied "card". She then just brought the bill and left for a long while. She could have brought the machine and charged...

The food was ok, although the latte was literally cold when served. Had to wait 20 minutes so coffee was probably just waiting to be delivered to the table in that time.

The attitude of the service was terrible and is what I want to point the attention at.

When paying, the lady (Sunday shift, around 12 - 12:30) didn't ask how we want to cover the bill and informed that the bill has to be paid by 1 person and cannot be split.

When told that we want to split the bill the lady got upset and and said it's not possible, then left the table. When she came back she threw the bill on the table without any explanation, there was 1 bill for the total amount.

The next lady came and engaged in unnecessary discussion how impossible it is to split the bill and that we MUST pay the total because "this is the rule here".

Comments like "it's just 700 what's your problem" shouldn't be happening and you should teach your staff how to behave with customers.

Few more minutes passed and we were asked to come to the cash-desk to cover the bill. Such a gentle power move, considering the card machine works remotely. Guess they had to prove some non-existing point there.

Turned out it was possible to split the bill and the entire scene was unnecessary and a waste of time and energy.

Not...

I recently visited Bella Vida Café for brunch and had an amazing experience from start to finish. I ordered a coffee, Eggs Benedict, and homemade crepes. The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed, the Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection with a creamy hollandaise sauce, and the homemade crepes were a delightful treat that tasted fresh and flavorful.

The ambiance of the café was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The server was exceptionally polite and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met with a friendly smile.

Overall, the combination of delicious food, great coffee, and excellent service made for a wonderful dining experience. I will surely recommend Bella Vida Café to anyone looking for a quality meal in a welcoming environment. This café has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite...

Not recommended - My recent experience at Bella Vida Cafe in Prague left much to be desired. The croissant with eggs, though ordered with anticipation, proved to be a disappointment. The croissant's texture was notably tough, making it a challenge to chew. Moreover, the provided knife was utterly ineffective, adding to the frustration. My second order, the salmon croissant, was rather average, lacking the expected culinary appeal. The coffee, unfortunately, had an excessively bitter taste, rendering it undrinkable to the point of dissatisfaction. To compound matters, the delivery time stretched to 25 minutes, testing my patience. All in all, based on these culinary shortcomings and service delays, I cannot recommend Bella Vida Cafe for a satisfying dining experience.

It was our second visit yesterday. Last time we found this place accidentally and we liked it a lot because of the great view from the terrace and good food. Yes, it is pricy comparing to other local cafes like coffee 75 czk while in others it usually costs between 50 and 65 czk. Yesterday was Sunday with a lot of sunshine, so we didn't get any table outside so took one inside. 2 open sandwich and homemade lemonade were over 500 czk, so if you don't want to pay more for the romantic spot and view over Charles bridge we may find something less expensive along the river, although we think the food is delicious. I see critics with service here but our server was fine yesterday with her service and we've received our food quite quickly. Maybe it's case by case thing.

Bella Vida Café is a cozy gem along the Vltava River, perfect for a relaxing break in Prague. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with charming decor and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to linger. The coffee is excellent—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed—and their breakfast and brunch options are just as impressive. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and generous portions make every dish a treat. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the location near Charles Bridge adds to the overall charm. Whether you’re looking for a quiet morning coffee, a leisurely brunch, or just a nice spot to unwind, Bella Vida is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful moment in the heart of the city!
