The boss is rude, a breakfast that ruins our (family) mood. Do not recommend because of the attitude and public shaming.
What has happened: I asked for the bill, the waitress sent a bill and left for a long while.
It happens, I thought I made the payment. I slowly walked out with my family, the waitress then ran out and asked for payment.
I apologize for my forgetfulness and run back with her to make the payment.
The boss shouted at me rudely as if I escaped payment on purpose. I explained and he was still mumbling and stared at me rudely in front of others customer. It definitely feels like public shaming.
If I were to escape the payment, I could have: not ask for the bill run instead of walk slowly
Perhaps if I'm a Westerner, then my apology is more acceptable? I wouldn't recommend this cafe because of the boss behavior.
Do not treat your customer like a criminal. It ruins my holiday. You should apologize for your bad attitude.
Here is a suggestion for you to avoid this to happen again: improve your payment flow.

When paying, the lady (Sunday shift, around 12 - 12:30) didn't ask how we want to cover the bill and informed that the bill has to be paid by 1 person and cannot be split.
When told that we want to split the bill the lady got upset and and said it's not possible, then left the table. When she came back she threw the bill on the table without any explanation, there was 1 bill for the total amount.
The next lady came and engaged in unnecessary discussion how impossible it is to split the bill and that we MUST pay the total because "this is the rule here".
Comments like "it's just 700 what's your problem" shouldn't be happening and you should teach your staff how to behave with customers.
Few more minutes passed and we were asked to come to the cash-desk to cover the bill. Such a gentle power move, considering the card machine works remotely. Guess they had to prove some non-existing point there.
Turned out it was possible to split the bill and the entire scene was unnecessary and a waste of time and energy.
