If you ever find yourself in Prague and are feeling particularly adventurous—or perhaps just wanting to test your limits in both alcohol tolerance and friendship—look no further than right here.
My pals John, John and Owen (two men with a history of questionable decisions) and I stumbled upon this place after Owen accidentally asked for directions to "the nearest bar with suspiciously cheap beer." The bartender, a man who clearly had no concern for his own liver, pointed us to a corner booth that came with its own set of warnings.
Now, let me set the scene: Owen, who’s never met a pint he didn’t instantly regret, immediately ordered the "Beer Tower" (which is basically an oversized keg that sits on your table and silently judges you as it depletes). John, ever the gentleman, insisted on trying something called a "Prague Special" which we later discovered is code for "how drunk can we get you with one drink." Spoiler: VERY drunk. It was a combination of absinthe, vodka, and something that looked suspiciously like pickle juice.
At some point, the other John decided that the bar's house band, "Czech Me Out," needed more cowbell, and proceeded to interrupt their performance by attempting to play their drums with a baguette. Owen, in his infinite wisdom, thought it was "an art piece," so they let him do it for a solid 10 minutes. No one knew whether to laugh or call security, but in the end, we were all just glad they didn’t call the police.
The highlight of the evening came when Owen challenged a local to a "beer chugging competition" in a bid to earn a free drink. It was only when the local started chugging like a true champion that Owen realized the "free drink" was just a shot of liquid courage that we all promptly regretted in the morning.
Long story short, this bar is everything you want in a bar: questionable decisions, overly enthusiastic bartenders, and a deep, unwavering love for beer. It may have ruined John and johns sense of rhythm and Owen’s dignity, but it also gave us a night to remember... or not, depending on how many shots you take.
So, 10/10 would recommend if you’re in the mood for chaos and laughter—just maybe skip the pickle-juice...

Read morePost-birthday bash in Prague, and we stumbled into this pub for a hangover cure – aka breakfast. And oh boy, it was a 10/10 lifesaver! I went for the full Irish, complete with white and black pudding, which was top notch. My bro opted for the veggie breakfast, which was nice, but the veggie sausages were a bit too herby for his taste.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, even when the pub was rammed full of drunk people singing (shocker in an Irish bar, right?). I did get roped into a sing-along with a bunch of merry lads, but let's just say Robbie Williams' 'Angels' wasn't happening for me – still recovering from the night before. The irony is I would have been right there with them 24 hours prior singing my drunken heart out. Would def recommend this spot for a post-party breakfast or a pint (or two,...
