Ok i am there now. I read all the bad reviews about the arab guy with the curly hair and even with that I decided to give it a try. I spoke in Arabic and English, he was very very rude. I know the owner reads now, this guy needs to go. Asked for a whole meal, he asks so what do u mean ‘wajba’ !! I said it in English, meal! He reply Menu!! Hands me the drink first with no ice, after sticking his fingers inside the paper cup. Then brings a glass bowl full of potatoes and starts to pour sauce on it!!!! I said my order is a take away order, he roles his eyes on me!!! And gives me his back and walks away!!! I said u did not ask me!!! He replied: you should have told me!! I said how do i know?? First time here!! No tables were available!! Where did he think i will eat!!! Standing in the street??? Who asked him to pour sauce on my potatoes? I have allergies from some ingredients like hot sauce, how do i know what’s in that sauce the he volunteered to add? And sticking his bare hand in my cup?? Come on!! Prague is full of restaurants, shape up I walked away after he started to act rude, and said to him in arabic, which I should have translated so everyone would have known what i said. I said in arabic, bad manners. قلة ادب Never again
Update: so the owner thinks his restaurant is a Michelin star restaurant that is known all over the world , so people state ‘take away’ or ‘ dine in’ by nature, and without being asked! This is the worker’s responsibility to ask about how the ‘paying’ customer wants his order. Also, if this is your style of adding sauce to the potatoes, then it’s a very unpleasant style, as you assume that all people wants your sauce. Moreover, you don’t understand that your worker touched the inside of the cup that I’m going to drink from? That’s your problem, i guess hygiene in your restaurant is a new concept. But even with this act being done in front of me, i let it pass , intending to eat my meal without a drink.
Most importantly, you failed to comment on the essential point here, why was your worker rude? Why did he roll his eyes in discontent, gave me his back , and walked away. Shame on your worker, shame on you also if you are finding his behavior acceptable!
And for your info, this is something to educate your workers about- who speak English or pretend to do so- all over the English speaking world : it’s called a meal, not menu! Either stick to Czeck all the way , or don’t mix up the two in order to look smarter that the English speaking customers.
Finally, there were no tables outside available, your not being honest, one of the tables was taken by a large group of African- english group, the second was full of czech/ white customers. If you want to clean up the image of your restaurant here don’t try to do it at the expense of reviewers , do the job in the restaurant. This is a reviewing space, and you saying that people feel the need to write reviews even if nothing happened is ridiculous. It’s not your position to educate people or dictate how or what they write or feel. Go read the previous reviews again, more than 70% complain about the bad/ rude service. Good night to you

Im really don't know, it is your standard service or not. Thus, as my servicer experience, its not a service at all. Im not trying to discredit your restaurant ( wallahhi ).

Actually im muslim, nevermind maybe he don't know (im talking with myself). However, i was make an order with my wife, and she wearing scarf. So, he should know right? We are muslim. Why he offer me beer & wine for drink, and Laugh . What is that mean?
Secound, before we reach at your restaurant. It was raining cat & dog. The table inside the shop is full. So, we manage to sit outside the shop. Come on, no body welcome us. We came with baby, the chair is wet, we clean by ourself, we take a highchair for baby by ourself. THEY ARE ONLY A CUSTOMER IN THE SHOP WELCOEM US BY GIVE US A TABLE INSIDE THE SHOP BECOUSE OF THEY SEE WE HAVE BABY. WHERE IS YOUR STAFF? YOU SHOULD FIND THE CLEANER.
Your staff never and ever have a service mind. Only one reason that make me to write this down is all of your staff are laugh when look at us. We are not chicken!! . It is very very bad!
Pleased be inform that, im not your business competition, im not trying to discredit you shop. *im your customer that when we paying more than 1000 ckz, and of couse we expect to get better service. *
Pleased pass my all massege...
Read moreThe food at Sayf has its strengths and weaknesses. The Durum chicken was flavorful but occasionally dry, likely due to overcooked pieces. On the other hand, the Beef Durum was outstanding—juicy and well-seasoned. In fact, my friend enjoyed it so much that we returned the following day, only to find the beef out of stock. It’s a bit disappointing that their best-seller wasn’t available, as this is something that should be well-stocked.
The portion sizes are impressive, with the Durum being quite large and satisfying. However, service leaves room for improvement. Only one person handles everything, including in-store customers and online orders, which results in slow service and a lack of customer acknowledgment. We noticed several people walking away after being ignored. A simple acknowledgment, like "I'll be with you shortly," could make a big difference in customer experience.
Despite these issues, the food is worth trying if you're patient. With a few adjustments in service and better stock management, Sayf could be a standout spot for...
