This restaurant was chosen by my two Chinese friends. It was highly recommended on the Chinese app “Little Red Book”. As soon as we entered, we were treated with a lot of anti-Chinese attitude from the staff. As I do speak Czech I was asked to tell my friends that “here in the Czech Republic we do not share dishes”, pointing to the fact that this is how Chinese people eat, ordering a few dishes and share them. I wish the staff kept their personal anti-China attitudes to themselves. The food was average and overpriced. Not sure where the hype about this restaurant is coming from. The pianist was just taking a break (I guess) and was out on the street as I was walking in and got asked if I’d go for a drink with him. I politely refused. Then when he came back to the restaurant and sat down to play the piano, things got really awkward as he kept staring at me. At some point a Chinese lady walked in discussing with the waiter that she has a reservation for the next day and just came to check out the place as I understood from the waiter. He did not treat the lady with respect I must say, he dragged her to our table and asked me to tell her in Chinese that the place was highly recommended on the Little Red Book as he learned earlier from me. She understandably looked very uncomfortable. Very disappointing, will not come back, nor will I recommend it to anyone. And when we paid and tipped the restaurant, the waiter himself still rounded it up a few crowns without asking. What kind of...

Thought this would be a great dining experience but actually not.

Reservation/Seat I did reserve a table for two months ago, they confirmed but suddenly postponed my dining time slot just few days ago. When I entered the restaurant on that day, they couldn’t find my booking! What? Besides, I did emphasise this is our honeymoon stay so to request a corner/comfortable seat when I book the table, but they just arranged a table in a narrow corridor! Even the guys came later on without reservation, they got a corner seat with larger space! How come?

Food We ordered a tasting menu with two glasses of red wind, some of dishes are tasty BUT we both didn’t feel well after the first 3 dishes, throwing up and getting the runs for whole night!

Service At the very beginning, we saw the servers did quite nice to other guests (French I guessed), but what they treated us is totally different: 1)the servers helped all the guests to take the jackets except us; 2)when we mentioned that we were not feeling well, they packed up the last dish and throw it with the bill on our table, and knocked the bill impolitely to let us pay! We did pay 10% additional service charge to them at the end because we want to show our respect, and we played our role as guest with proper manner quite well but what we experienced was terrible!

We are from Hong Kong and not sure whether they just saw our Asian face so to have bias(just guessing).

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and hope they could have...

I have had late lunch with my brother and this restaurant was recommended by one of my friends and I wanted to give it a try.

The restaurant is fairly cosy and the old classical theme was really nice.

I started of the traditional Czech potato soup and it was a little bit too hot so I had to wait for tlit to cool down. It was tasty! My brother has the duck soup with foie gras, which he also really liked.

For appitizers, we had the smoked duck breast with ginger and found that to be slightly punchy and fresh, but tasty. We also had the roast duck with chocolate cake, a multi-flavored dish which was also rather delicious.

My brother decided to share 3 main courses and we selected the following: (1) Roasted duck with red and white cabbage and rolled potato dumplings, which was delicious. (2) Fallow deer saddle fillets in cream sauce with Carlsbad dumplings and cranberries, which is soft and tender deer meat cooked meduim. It was also delicious dish. Finally we had the (3) Grilled duck with foie gras and it was also really good.

For dessert, we had the mascarpone with blueberry ice cream and mixed berries which was wonderful! We also had the apple strudel with whip cream and vanilla ice cream glased with sugar powder and a pinch of cinnamon.

Overall, the presentation of the food was marvelous. The food itself was delicious. My experience...

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Hotel Residence Agnes; and we found that many people coming here due to recommendation by hotels or tour guides) which they said there will be live music after 7pm for dinner and the food is amazing. However, we had BAD EXPERIENCE here and made us rethink whether Prague is a good place. Rude waiter - when we were paying our bill, the waiter "reminded" us that there is no service charge in the bill; when we were paying our bill by credit card, he asked us whether we will include the tipping in card paying. We had our meals in the past 10 days in Central Europe and we paid the tipping to every restaurant but none of them would ask us for tipping like this. Vegetarian unfriendly - the restaurant only serves duck, beef, pork and venison for main dishes. Personally I don't eat red meat so basically I don't have any choice for main dishes. But this wasn't the fault of the restaurant. Normal food - the food is so far normal; not horrible, but not good. Some of them are overcooked and some of them are quite raw. No live music - our hotel has known them for long and advised us there is live music but the waiter told us there is no live music during low season.
