Extraordinary Breakfasts
The place is located in the old city of Prague. It’s one of the most authentic, yet exquisite looking restaurants in Prague.
Food
All in all the food is very delicious and it’s having a magnitude of diversity in the taste and variety with the options. Dishes, with avocados, salmon, and mushrooms. Usually taste, extraordinary I would also recommend certain desserts like blueberry pancake, and having some fresh orange juice with that, of course.
Coffee is there a very delicious and well balanced and professionally made.
Service
Service is very good people. There are very friendly, but at the same time they are always in a rush and it feels as if it’s hard to get hold of anybody there unless you try to show for it.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere is fine, I’ve been going there for about 10 times and it’s always busy and you have to come ahead of time and possibly wait on an average between 15 to 45 minutes to get a table if you’re lucky at least that what happened with me in most of the times, I have got there.
The place is always crowded, and you feel as if you are sitting with the people next to you listening to everything they’re doing. Will check most of the times for me at least it feels annoying.
I wish they could have an extended version of the same place next to it, or have a certain system that allows people to eat with the same atmosphere, but enjoy certain level of comfort as it is not very comfortable sitting there with the waiters moving and the people next to you passing by hard, leaving or moving.
All in all, I give it 5/5 just...

I visited Bistro Monk with high hopes — a name evoking calm, hospitality, and warmth. Instead, I found a lesson in rudeness I didn’t expect, delivered by a waitress who seemed to have misplaced her manners somewhere between the kitchen and the table.
The incident: My friends and I sat at a nearly empty outdoor table, politely and respectfully, only to be publicly lectured by a waitress about “protocol” — as if we were intruders breaking monastery rules. The sarcasm was thick, the tone unnecessary, and the experience, frankly, insulting.
As a traveler who values respect and kindness, especially from those representing a city as beautiful as Prague, I was deeply shocked and disappointed. Hospitality is the first chapter of any visit — and it should be written with kindness, not scorn.
If Bistro Monk is to live up to its name, I hope this message reaches the right ears. Let this be a reminder that every guest deserves grace,...
Read moreWhat a bad experience. I was alone, and I went inside the cafe and said “hello”; no one was answering… the guy and the girl behind the bar counter even didn’t look at me and kept talking to each other… “sorry if I’m here to give you my money bloody ppl…” okay fine… then I’ve asked if I could sit… so they gave me the menu e told me to seat wherever I wanted. Then I’ve ordered and the blonde lady with so many piercings was so RUDE, It would be better if she changed jobs since she didn't even smile. Then I hadn't even finished my meal when she asked me if I wanted the bill... but I also wanted to order a slice of cake, so I mentioned it and she was annoyed, she left without even deigning to look at me. I don't care if you just want to collect money, I just wanted to enjoy a relaxing breakfast, but unfortunately that wasn't possible because the blonde girl kept coming up to me and asking if everything was okay and if I wanted the bill. Such a...
